Hello Kitty Airplane Takes Flight In Taiwan

Hello Kitty fans, prepare to take flight with your favorite cat. Girl. Whatever.

A Taiwanese airline is offering customers a chance to fly inside a Hello Kitty-themed jet beginning next month. So if you feel the need to fly from Taiwan to Europe at some point later this year, make sure you snag a ticket for the so-called “Hand-in-Hand” flight. Chances are all your like-minded friends will immediately turn green with jealousy.

According to USA Today, the Hello Kitty jet will begin carrying passengers from Taipei to Paris on October 29. EVA Air’s Boeing 777-300ER sports your favorite characters on the exterior a host of Hello Kitty-themed material on the interior. It’s almost enough to make you forget about all the controversy surrounding the poor girl’s anthropomorphic origins.

Travel Daily Asia reports that EVA Air has no less than five Hello Kitty-themed jets in service. Although the planes will gladly take you from Taiwan to Paris, you don’t have to limit yourself to this French destination. The airline can also fly Hello Kitty enthusiasts to Tokyo, Fukuoka, Seoul, Guam, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

If you’re thinking about catching a flight to Paris aboard the aforementioned plane, then here’s some info you might need to know beforehand.

“The Hello Kitty Paris service will operate as flight number BR88, departing Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The return services will leave Paris every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.”

For those who want the complete experience, make sure you listen to Avril Lavigne’s “Hello Kitty” during your flight. If you want to go full-tilt, watch the video on a loop for the duration of the journey. While The Inquisitr is perhaps more than a little amused by this suggestion, we’re not responsible for any long-term psychological damage you experience as a result. Please proceed with extreme caution.
