Groom Arrested: Groom Hits On Pregnant Waitress At His Own Wedding Reception

A groom was arrested after he allegedly hit on a pregnant waitress during his own wedding reception, and apparently got “handsy.” According to FOX News, Mark Williams, 33, from Crafton, Pennsylvania, not only got physical with the waitress — by trying to pour alcohol down her throat — but he also proceeded to get into a fight with the waitress’ boyfriend who showed up shortly after he got a call from his girlfriend. This all happened in the middle of the ocean on Williams’ wedding cruise.

“Williams touched the waitress several times, then scuffled with her boyfriend, whom she had phoned after the boat docked just before 1 a.m.”

The groom was arrested after being approached by police after the boat docked. Not surprisingly, Williams resisted arrest. According to CBS News, Williams is facing charges of riot, harassment, and resisting arrest. And he wasn’t the only person arrested after that cruise from you-know-where. Williams’ brother — a state trooper — was also taken into custody because he got involved in the whole mess. It is believed, but not confirmed, that alcohol was a factor.

“The groom’s brother, off-duty state trooper David Williams, is accused of assaulting two Pittsburgh police officers called to the scene. David Williams, 35, of Plum, faces the same charges as the groom, plus obstructing law enforcement and disorderly conduct.”

The waitress’ boyfriend, 20-year-old Tyler Smith, was also arrested, but it’s unknown if he was charged. All three men have been released from jail according to the CBS report. Perhaps these guys didn’t actually have a bachelor party and were trying to make their night on the boat a two-fer.

After the groom was arrested, it is unknown how his wife (you know, the bride) handled the whole thing… but it’s safe to say that this isn’t the best way to start off a marriage. As you can see in the video above, however, she was with her husband leaving court — but she didn’t look very happy.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, a wedding brawl broke out in 2012 that left the groom’s brother in the back of a police car at the end of the night. Coincidentally that incident happened in Pennsylvania as well. According to that report, Matthew Sofka was charged with assault for his part in the fray which may have resulted in the death of the bride’s uncle — who had a heart attack whilst the whole brawl thing was going down.

Talk about stressful weddings…
