Jennifer Aniston Might Give You A Call; Actress To Join 'Stand Up To Cancer' Telethon

Jennifer Aniston plans to voice out her support for people currently suffering from cancer. The Friends actress is set to appear on Stand Up To Cancer, a 1-hour telethon to be aired on September 25 in more than 30 different networks. The event will be hosted by Yahoo's Katie Couric, who promises a modern twist on the concept of celebrity telethons.

Instead of viewers calling hotlines to connect to their favorite celebrities, it will be the stars like Aniston who will reach out to fans through phone and social media sites. Couric says:

"We'll have plenty of stars reaching out to donors via social media, thanking them through Facebook messages, digital shout outs, Instagrams and tweets. In other words, this year, we are so 2014! Instead of people calling in with the hope of talking to a celebrity, stars will be calling and sending social shout-outs to viewers at home."
Aside from Jennifer Aniston, other A-listers like Pierce Brosnan, Will Ferrel and Ben Stiller have signed in to lend a hand to the cause. The event will also feature performances from Jennifer Hudson, The Who and Ariana Grande. According to CBC, the telethon will be shown on 31 broadcast and cable networks simultaneously.

Jennifer has always been a huge supporter of worthwhile charity causes. Jennifer Aniston has appeared in a few commercials for St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. During the Haiti earthquake crisis, the actress donated half a million to Doctor's Without Borders, the same non-profit organization that currently provides help to people stricken with Ebola in West Africa.

It isn't Jennifer Aniston's first time to sign up for Stand up for Cancer, having served as the telethon's host in 2008. Last year, she was named ambassador for the EIF Women's Cancer Research Fund, a program that supports research for the cure of women's cancers.

In other news, fans were intrigued to see Jennifer's hot and smoking physique during her vacation in Bora Bora with fiance Justin Theroux. Mandy Ingber, Aniston's personal yoga guru, revealed in an interview with ABC News the actress' greatest secrets to maintaining a slim and sexy body. According to her, going extra on the cardio and limiting access to fatty chips helps Jennifer keep her enviable bod. Aniston's yoga instructor emphasized on the importance of discipline in achieving a Rachel Green-esque type of figure everyone desires.

Despite the numerous public displays of affection being documented by the day, break-up rumors about the couple are still rife around the Hollywood streets. However, Jennifer Aniston keeps her chin up and focuses on the more important things - bringing her talents in front of the cameras and helping those in need.
