Terry Crews has declared that The Expendables could crossover with the Fast and Furious franchise in the future.

Crews, who has played Hale Caesar in all three of The Expendables films, made the revelation to Digital Spy , where he then added that it would be his dream “mash-up.”

“I think it’s totally possible — there’s no reason why we can’t do that,” he explained. As well as revealing that he was beyond excited to act alongside a plethora of legendary action-stars, which includes Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Crews downplayed any rivalry between the actors, before then comparing the ensemble to the Vin Diesel led franchise.

When Crews was asked if there was a rivalry between The Expendables and Fast & Furious he proclaimed, “No, actually I want a mash-up. I want the ‘Fast & Furious’ guys to meet up with ‘The Expendables’ somehow. So we do a joint-thing.”

It also sounds as if Crews has already got a plan for how the films can interlock with each other too: “We’ll have a three-team thing where it’s the a-team, and the ‘Fast & Furious’ guys. Listen, they did it with ‘The Expendables’ why not do it with franchises?”

Crews also failed to rule out another installment to the film series, even though the tagline for The Expendables 3 is, “One last ride.” He then teased that it’s the “final one,” for somebody before then noting that The Expendables 2 was Chuck Norris’ last film in the franchise.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Jason Statham, who has been a permanent fixture of The Expendables team but is also joining the Fast & Furious ensemble as Ian Shaw for its seventh outing, almost died during production on Stallone’s action-epic.

Stallone himself revealed that when an action stunt went wrong, Statham used his skills as a trained diver to get out of the precarious scenario.

“He faced death,” Stallone revealed. “He was test-driving a three-ton truck and the brakes run out. It went down 60 ft into the Black Sea and became impaled. Luckily we had taken the doors off before. If anyone else had been in that truck we would have been dead because we were all wearing heavy boots and gun belts. We would have drowned. But because Jason is an Olympic-quality diver he got out of it.”
