There are new episodes of Little People, Big World coming back to TLC, but it’s not going to be a very long season. As long-time fans know, the Roloff family has been going through some struggles, as Matt and Amy separated some time back. For a while it wasn’t known whether the show would come back at all, but now fans will get five new episodes beginning in September.
The Wrap shares a Little People, Big World spoiler preview and some additional details. A big component of the five-episode season will be watching Jeremy Roloff propose to Audrey Botti and throw a wedding at the family farm. Viewers will get to see everything from the proposal to the planning to the big event, which should be a magical day for all involved.
What about Amy and Matt Roloff ? They have had a complicated relationship for quite some time, and sadly viewers watched a lot of the tension play out on television screens. Amy and Matt separated at the end of last season, but many hoped they would find a way to come back together again. Where do things stand now?
Matt and Amy haven’t really said anything regarding the state of their marriage, but fans remain curious. A recent post on Matt’s Facebook page started quite the conversation in the comments, however. He posted a photo and noted, “Amy and I decide[d] today… our pirate ship need to be replaced” since it was looking too old and worn out. That mention of the Roloffs as a couple got many asking whether they are together or still separated. Chances are that fans will need to tune in to the new episodes to get an answer on that, but many are guessing that things remain essentially the same as when the show last aired with them separated.
Other Little People, Big World spoilers indicate that Amy will continue to pursue her goal of opening up a pop-up restaurant. Matt will be heavily involved in orchestrating the vision for Jeremy’s wedding, it seems, and of course there will be big things ahead for other family members too. Fans know that Zach has had a serious girlfriend too in Tori Patton, and they also will get engaged in this upcoming season.
From the sounds of things, this upcoming season will have a lot of happy, joyful moments along with some difficult ones. The five new episodes of Little People, Big World premiere on TLC on Tuesday, September 2.
