Watch ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’ Panel Live From San Diego Comic Con

Watch the The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies panel live, directly from Hall-H at the San Diego Comic Con. Peter Jackson is expected to show up at around 10 am PT, along with some other crew and cast members, including Luke Evans (Bard the Bowman) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Smaug).

It is anticipated that around 6,000 eager fans will pack the room and see what P.J. — as the director is affectionately called — has in his bag of tricks. Not much is known about what Jackson will actually share, but many are expecting a teaser trailer, which will be followed by a full-length one in October, according to Jackson.

The nice folks at The One Ring Net site — which follows all things Tolkien — will be covering the festivities and sharing updates as soon as they become available. We don’t know the cast of characters or footage that Jackson will share, but last year — ahead of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug he premiered one of his video blogs and featured some of the cast members who couldn’t make it to San Diego.

If you watch the The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies panel live from San Diego Comic Con, you may also see Lee Pace (Thranduil), Andy Serkis (Gollum, Second Unit Director), who surprised fans waiting to get into the convention center and posed for photos with some lucky ones.

Fans have been treated to some new photos released in anticipation of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies panel in San Diego. The images include the first official poster, which is an amazing shot of Smaug descending on Lake-town as Bard the Bowman stands at the ready.

Earlier last week a new image of Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and Bard was also released, along with a couple of other images of Luke Evans, Pace, and Evangeline Lilly (Tauriel) printed on the Entertainment Weekly magazine. All this served to get fans super excited for this Saturday’s The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies panel.

The bad news is that filming is not allowed inside Hall-H, the good news is that you can watch a live stream of what P.J. has in store for fans inside The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies panel at San Diego Comic Con through the eyes of The One Ring Net website. Don’t miss it!
