Ben Affleck’s Batsuit For ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Revealed At Comic Con [Photo]

Lately there’s been a lot of chatter about Ben Affleck’s batsuit for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. We’ve seen the first official photo of Affleck hiding in the shadows in his batsuit, but the photo released by Warner Bros. really didn’t show much detail.

Now we have our first genuine look at Ben Affleck’s batsuit. Get ready, because it’s really up close and personal.

The suit that Ben Affleck is currently wearing in Detroit was debuted at a preview night at San Diego’s Comic Con. According to The Wrap, the suit was displayed on the floor, which allowed the fans of the comics to get up close with the suit for the first time.

It’s pretty surprising DC wouldn’t debut the batsuit at a panel, but perhaps they’re looking for a nice buzz on social media? Putting Ben Affleck’s Batman suit on the floor certainly hands the power of buzz over to the fans in a big way.

Every new incarnation of the caped crusader has come with some critique. While fans loved Christian Bale’s interpretation, some couldn’t stand the odd Batman voice he pulled while in the suit. Of course when it comes to suits DC had all wrong, we think of George Clooney as Batman. Everyone remembers the bat nipples, right?

The unveiling of the Batsuit is a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Batman’s debut in Detective Comics. According to The Wrap, the new batsuit was on display along with the suits worn by former caped crusaders such as Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney.

As we previously reported, there’s rumors going around that Affleck isn’t thrilled with one of the suits. According to sources, Affleck needs several people to remove and put on the suit. A source told Daily Mail:

“The suit is extremely restrictive. Ben finds it hard to perform basic tasks and struggles to look natural. He’s constantly trying to avoid going to the toilet because it’s such an ordeal.”

In case you think seeing one batsuit will spoil everything, fear not because back in April, it was reported that there might be two batsuits. Latino-Review reported:

“I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics.”
