‘Star Wars Episode VII’: Plot Details Revealed?

The hugely anticipated sequel Star Wars Episode VII, produced by Disney in conjunction with Lucasfilm, is a very well guarded secret. However, it appears that some of the plot details have leaked online.

We must warn you that there may be spoilers ahead, but why would you be reading this article if you didn’t want to know, right? Now that you have been warn, we will proceed.

It is well known that Star Wars Episode VII director, J.J. Abrams keeps all details of his films very close to himself, and so we don’t know much about the plot except for the fact that it takes place 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jedi. We also know that Harrison Ford suffered a bad injury which required surgery and may affect the timeline for the massive production.

Now, Badassdigest.com via Cinemablend.com reports that new plot details have made it out of Abrams’ hands. Here is the report from Devin Faraci:

“Imagine the standard ‘Star Wars’ crawl, and when it ends the camera pans up to the stars. But instead of a spaceship zooming into frame we see… a hand! A severed hand, tumbling through space. A severed hand gripping a light saber.

“That hand falls onto a desert planet, where it is discovered by characters who will be our heroes. One is Daisy Ridley. The other is John Boyega, who is playing someone trying to change his path in life (again, I’m keeping it vague here). They recognize the light saber as a Jedi relic and decide to return it to the proper people.

“Their quest takes them off world, and they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren’t flying around in the Millennium Falcon anymore but are piloting… well, that could be a spoiler. I’ll leave it. Anyway, Han and Chewie recognize the light saber as Luke’s, and they say they haven’t seen their friend in thirty years, since the events of ‘Return of the Jedi.’”

And with that, our heroes begin the search for their missing Jedi Master, while on an ice planet, the evil forces (the Dark Side?) plot to destroy not only planets, but an entire system.

According to this report, our friends haven’t remained as tight as one would have hoped. Star Wars Episode VII is also rumored to be the send off of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), who were the original cast members when George Lucas began what is now one of the most successful franchises in movie history.

As always, with any leaks, we must remember to take this with a large grain of salt until we have the official plotline from J.J. Abrams. In the meantime we can look forward to all the news coming up about the Star Wars Episode VII production, which promise to be many.
