‘Best First Date’ Video Shows Father And Three-Year-Old Daughter Going Out: Cute Or Creepy?

A “best first date” between a father named Aaron Dickson and his three-year-old daughter named Analynne may bring smiles to many faces, but to some this video showing an example of father-daughter bonding time is just plain creepy.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, some people thought it was weird how an anxious father in the Duck Dynasty family let his 11-year-old daughter go out on a date.

Mr. Dickson posted the video on YouTube as “The Best First Date,” and so far it has been viewed over eight million times. Dickson believes his video is a reminder of how young girls should be treated by a man, and he also wants to encourage other fathers to do the same. The father left off with this message: “You’ll always be her first love. Happy Fathers Day.”

Some people think it’s great, including our own previous report, which wrote: “This video that shows the love between a father and daughter is a heartwarming story that shows just how much it means to spend time with your kids.” But other viewers do not find the video so heartwarming, instead leaving comments calling it “very creepy,” “nauseating,” and some seem to believe it could cause little Analynne to develop an unusual attachment to her father.

Parenting expert Dr. Robyn Silverman believes the “best first date” video does not go beyond the scope of being a good father:

“I think that the video could be controversial only because some people will assign romance to the term date, but really this is about a father and a daughter spending beautiful time together, bonding together, respecting one another and having a really good time. It’s just a chance to remember this moment when I have a 3-year-old and a 2-year-old and to encourage other fathers out there that they can do it, too.”

Do you think Aaron Dickson’s “best first date” video is creepy or just a good idea that other fathers should emulate?
