After the dust settled in the semifinal match between Germany and Brazil at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, millions of tears fell as Brazilians witnessed an onslaught upon their team. With the final score being 7-1 , the final whistle ending the match wasn’t just a mercy, but probably karma for the fiasco that happened the last time they hosted the World Cup back in 1950 . It doesn’t help that the match itself lit up the social networks, including Twitter .
However, there is one group of people who are surely taking the results with sheer screams of joy: Germans. As a matter of fact, some of them are stooping low with the victory. Maybe because the win was really a massacre. Nevertheless, Germans are really taking their gloating a little too far, to the point that they can be considered trolling… and one of the biggest troll videos is trending on Youtube right now!
Uploaded on the BAYERN 3 Radio Youtube Channel on July 7, 2014, the short 10-second video shows a fruity drink, quite possibly a margarita, with the Brazilian flag sticking passed the lip of the glass. Brazilian Carnival music plays in the background too. Seconds later, a pint of beer comes down smashing the margarita into smithereens and halting the music. The pint glass also has the German flag emblazoned on its front prominently. In short, the video is just a quick jab at Brazil just to cause more ere for the country’s people, thus making it a troll.
The troll video however is quite popular with over 7 million views as well as being in the top 50 popular Youtube Videos as of right now. At least the majority of people watching the video are quick to understand it is a troll and have trolled back purposely with stupid comments. Unfortunately, the insults towards Brazil may not end anytime soon. With the majority of the world, including Argentina legend Diego Maradona making fun of Brazil, it is only a matter of time until the bullying turns into retaliation.
