Daigon Alley: New Harry Potter Attraction At Universal Studios Florida To Open July 8th
Harry Potter fans all over the world, get ready to celebrate. The newest attraction to the realm of wizardry is coming to Universal Studios and the rumor is that it will be the greatest addition to the Potter empire to date.
Universal Studios Florida has been working hard to open a new expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, and it looks like, at long last, the plan has finally come to fruition. The new attraction inside the park has been dubbed Daigon Alley and is set to open on July 8th. This new addition is a collaboration between Warner Bros. and Universal.
The original Wizarding World of Harry Potter officially opened in 2010, but this Daigon Alley is full of all sorts of new things to get Potterheads all jazzed up. The new expansion covers 20 acres of land and is connected by the Hogwarts Express train.
A ride on the Hogwarts Express train will allow passengers to experience a replication of the British countryside as it is described in the original J.K. Rowling series of books. While riding the Hogwarts Express, passengers will be treated to a four-minute long, special feature Harry Potter film.
Once at Daigon Alley, guests can ride the main attraction; the roller coaster with the long name, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Part of the appeal of the coaster is the 3-D and live special effects and 4-K high-definition digital graphics. The expansion will also include themed restaurants and shops where visitors to Daigon Alley can enjoy treats like butterbeer ice cream and take home their very own Wizard wand.
Those extreme fans who desire a sneak peek at Daigon Alley before the park officially opens to the general public can do so by purchasing exclusive Harry Potter vacation packages. This will give the biggest Potterheads access to the park beginning June 29th, well ahead of the scheduled July 8th opening.
Universal is also slated to open a similar park in Osaka, Japan sometime this summer and yet another Wizarding World at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016.
