Did Justin Bieber Really 'Trigger' Calvin Harris And Rita Ora's Split?

Justin Bieber allegedly "triggered" Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and singer Rita Ora's just announced split

Justin Bieber allegedly "triggered" DJ Calvin Harris split with the songstress Rita Ora, despite Harris being seen with different women over recent weeks and his admission that the couple broke up "some time ago."

Bieber is accused of causing Harris and Ora's break-up in a new report by gossip site TMZ --- whose longstanding and possibly now changed relationship with Bieber's team has been under a critical spotlight recently.

Harris tweeted about his split with Ora on Friday, Mail Online reported.

Harris tweeted: "To address speculation -- myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

As previously reported, Bieber bolted to Mexico after a years-old video of him telling a "racist joke" when he was 15-years-old surfaced in a British tabloid on June 1.

Within hours of its release, Justin and his team issued a detailed apology.

Amid general outrage and a media pile-on, Bieber and his crew headed for Mexico that day, reportedly staying in a plush villa in Playa del Carmen.

According to multiple reports and her social media accounts, Ora and a group of pals --- including Adidas TV host Emily Rose celebrating her 30th birthday --- also stayed at the villa.

Bieber was photographed jetting out of Mexico on June 3, the day before a second video of him surfaced -- this time singing the N-word in a parody of his song "One Less Lonely Girl" at the age of 14.

The singer released a second apology on June 4.

E! News previously reported Ora and Bieber partied with a group of friends at Los Angeles nightclub Bootsy Bellows on Friday, May 30.

Citing a source, at the time the outlet reported Bieber didn't drink at the club, adding that "nothing flirty [was] happening between the two of them."

"Rita and Justin are good friends," the source said. "They had a great night together with a small group of friends partying and dancing."

More recently, The Mirror reported Harris was seen leaving Club Warwick in Hollywood with an unidentified woman this past week, and was "snapped with another mystery companion in LA this week, this time showing off her toned waist in a strip crop top and white mini skirt."

Meanwhile, TMZ's report alleges sources said Justin and Rita were "touchy feely" together during studio session over the last few months.

The site claims Harris was told about Bieber and Ora's allegedly intimate session then linked to a clip of him being doorstepped by one of their photogs outside Bootsy Bellows nightclub in Hollywood this past week.

After which, Harris was seen climbing into a SUV with multiple young women.

TMZ's photog managed to grab a few words with Harris outside the nightclub, while the site specifically stated Harris was asked about Ora's vacation with Bieber.

However, that claim is inaccurate.

The first question asked by the photog was : What do you think of Rita Ora partying down in Mexico, or is that not your thing?

Harris replied: " I love it."

The next idiotic question was: "You love it, you don't care?"

Harris answered: "I think it's great."

Finally, the pap asked:" It's not your crowd?"

Harris said: "I'm happy."

In short, the exchange revealed nothing.

Rita and Calvin began dating in May 2013 and were reportedly last seen out publicly together at a taping of Watch What Happens Live in April in New York City. The Brit-Kosovan singer recently scored a UK No. 1 with "I Will Never Let You Down," which was co-written and co-produced by the former couple.

Due to largely gushing statements from Ora about Harris during the promotion of the single, it's widely thought the decision to split came from Harris.

In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Ora said of her then partner:

"He got something out of me that I never thought I had. Yes, like falling in love. I just didn't think I had it. I'd never experienced it before. And I was just like in the wilderness, thinking, "Will it ever happen?'"

It's being reported Harris has already had Ora's things removed from his L.A. house, and has refused permission for songs they worked on while they were dating to be released.

As for Bieber, after leaving Mexico and the singer headed to a location in Canada where he was joined by family and a group of friends.

On Friday, the singer posted an Instagram video showing a 15-second glimpse of his father, Jeremy's 40th birthday which took place last week.

Justin captioned the clip, "Famtime."

Despite Bieber's N-word videos being several years old, ongoing denials of 'racism' by his African American friends, a statement by Young Money President Mack Maine that Justin has "legitimately adopted hip hop and African American culture," and an observable reality that Bieber clearly isn't racist -- the 20-year-old continues to be labeled as such by some.

He has also been slammed for his past racial slurs by some fans, non-fans, most press and across media.

Soundbites from CNN anchor Don Lemon and civil rights leader and radio host Al Sharpton calling for an end to general use of the N-word are also being widely discussed.

So to recap:

Is Justin Bieber the reason Calvin Harris and Rita Ora split?

Possibly. Probably not.

Is Bieber seeing Ora romantically now?

Possibly. Probably not.

Would Harris care either way? You, readers, can answer that.
