Avril Lavigne and hubby Chad Kroeger took some time to themselves while the punk rocker was in Mexico for her tour this past week. The couple had a few days off during Avril’s South American leg of her world tour, according to US Weekly, and while the beach can be relaxing, it can also take a turn for the worse in many ways.
According to E! News, the “Hello Kitty” singer nearly had a bathing suit malfunction while enjoying some sun and surf in Cancun, Mexico on Sunday, May 11th. Despite the little mishap, Avril seemed to be having a relaxing time in her “tiny brown bandeau bikini” which she decided to pair with an over-sized hat and a pair of large sunglasses.
The couple seemed to enjoy some down time, which was much needed after the backlash for her rather awkward fan meet and greet and rumors which claimed that the singer and husband Chad Kroeger were having issues.
According to an earlier report by The Inquisitr, the rumor’s surrounding the singer and her husband seemed to be nothing but negative. One of the rumors claims that the couple is experiencing some marital difficulties. Another of the rumors claim that while the couple vowed to keep their partying under control when apart, Chad seems to have some issues with keeping his promise.
“When they first got together, Avril wore the pants. But Chad has reverted back to his old ways and doesn’t check in with her like he used to,” the anonymous source recently explained.
Can the newlyweds trust one another? According to a source from OK! magazine, Avril hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring because the tension is too much for the singer. A source allegedly close to the “Hello Kitty” singer claims that “it’s just too emotional for Avril to look at her ring.”
Do these rumors have anything to do with the awkward fan meet and greet the singer had in Brazil not too long ago? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t curious. In another report by The Inquisitr, Avril Lavigne fans were left a little puzzled after they shelled out close to $400 to meet the singer and take a photo with her, only to be warned not to hug her or otherwise attempt to touch her.
