Weeds Season 7 Premieres Tonight On Showtime, Facebook Game “Social Weed Club” Announced

Weeds season 7 will debut tonight on Showtime and the popular series will pick up three years from where the last season left off. If you’re a fan of the show you may recall that during the last seconds of season 6 Nancy Botwin turned herself into the FBI as the rest of her family boarded a plane for Europe. The new season will find Botwin living in New York City after leaving a stint in prison.

It’s still unclear if Weeds will end after this season with show creator Jenji Kohan telling the LA Times that the season is being written so it could carry on with further episodes or end in a series finale.

In other news the game Weeds Social Club debuted in “closed beta” on Facebook today. The game requires that users grow and sell pot to save their homes and has been fashioned off the Weeds series. It’s still unclear if Facebook will take issue with the game, however since they currently allow Mafia Wars to be played I have a feeling it will be allowed. The game is said to be like Farmville for marijuana.
