Goldie Hawn to Star in HBO Series The Viagra Diaries

Goldie Hawn, the 65 year old actress who last graced our screens with her role in The Banger Sisters nearly a decade ago, has signed up to star in a new HBO drama titled The Viagra Diaries.

Based on the book by Barbara Rose Brooker, the series centers on a newly-single 65 year old woman who struggles to cope when her husband of 35 years leaves her after having a “mid-life crisis.”

Sex and the City creator Darren Star was signed on to write and produce the project, which was originally envisioned as a film adaptation, along with executive producers Aaron Kaplan (Knowing), Peter and Wendy Richie, and their son, Peter.

Hawn, who originally launched her career as a cast member of the short-lived CBS sitcom, Good Morning, is most well known for her roles in the films Overboard, Bird on a Wire, and Private Benjamin.

While no official date has been given for the series premier, we expect The Viagra Diaries to do just fine once it finally makes it’s way to TV screens across the globe.
