Austin Mahone Lands A Guest Spot On ‘The Millers’

Austin Mahone will make his network television acting debut on The Millers.

The “Banga Banga” singer is all set to appear on CBS’ hit sitcom at some point this season. Unfortunately for Austin Mahone fans, it’s unclear when the episode will air. However, the folks at E! Online managed to snag some exclusive details about his role on the show.

Mahone was recently tapped to portray a younger version of Adam (Nelson Franklin) on The Millers. Beyond that, details about Austin’s appearance on the comedy are few and far between at the moment. Expect more info to bubble up as the air date draws closer.

Austin Mahone isn’t the only famous face to make a guest appearance on the show this season. Superman Returns and Dylan Dog: Dead of Night star Brandon Routh will pop up as a police officer investigating a string of thefts in the neighborhood.

The Millers, which also stars Will Arnett and Beau Briges, was a pretty big hit for the folks over at CBS. The network reportedly picked up a full season after only three episodes. In an age where sitcoms come and go in the blink of an eye, that’s a pretty big deal.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Austin Mahone has put his acting skills on display. The singer previously appeared as himself on the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush. Mahone said he hoped his turn on the show would help open the door for more acting gigs.

“It was a really fun thing to do and ‘BTR’ even taught me some acting tricks so I’ll be ready for my next role!” Austin explained in a statement.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Austin Mahone is also putting together some songs for his upcoming debut album. If everything goes according to the singer’s master plan, then fans will think his first full-length effort is nothing short of “insane.”

“My new album, I’m still putting it together, you know the reason why it’s taking so long is because I just want to make [sure], you know, every song on there is perfect,” Austin explained on the red carpet at New York City’s Jingle Ball last month.

Mahone added, “I want my first album to just be crazy, like, ‘Aw man this kid is like, this came out of nowhere, he’s got an insane album,’ so, I mean, I’ve worked with so many talented producers and so I just want to pick the right songs for it.”
