The Walking Dead Hits The Jackpot

Just when you thought AMC’s hit series had reached the pinnacle of success, casinos in North America are being filled with Walking Dead themed slot machines, taking the show’s exposure to a whole new level.

The first casinos to offer Walking Dead slot machines are the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in Highland, California, the Seminole Hard rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and the Borgeta Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. However, this is just the beginning of the zombie slot invasion, and casinos from coast to coast will soon be infested with The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead slot machine is definitely worth playing, capturing the spirit of the zombie apocalypse in all its gruesome glory. The grand jackpot begins at $500,000, and with the popularity of the show, folks will be lining up like zombies to play the slots all night long. The Walking Dead slot machine was unveiled at the Global Gaming Expo last year, and according to the Vegas Inc, gamblers took to the new one armed bandit like a horde of hungry walkers.

Now that Breaking Bad has finished, The Walking Dead rules the roost at AMC. The fourth season premiere attracted 16.1 million viewers, which was the largest audience in cable history, and with the winter finale of season 4 still to come, The Walking Dead’s viewership and ratings are sure to increase.

The Walking Dead began life as a comic book, created by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics. The comic was picked up as a cable series in 2010 by AMC, and The Walking Dead premiered on October 31, 2010.

What makes the show so great is that no character is safe, and anyone can die by being torn apart by flesh eating zombies, or by the selfishness of other living humans, desperate to survive. The Walking Dead is a nail biting, unpredictable show that will have you on the edge of your seat, constantly wondering what will come next.

The show is so successful that AMC is making a spin-off series. Although not much is known yet about the main plot or characters, we do know the new series will take place in a completely new setting.

While fans of the show wait for the rest of Season 4 and the spin-off series, zombie lovers can occupy their time with the new Walking Dead slot machines. Just remember to gamble responsibly and watch out for any undead who may lurking in the casinos.
