Two days after attending The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco’s wedding, Lacey Chabert announced on Twitter that she recently had her own wedding.
The Mean Girls star wrote, “I’m starting 2014 as a Mrs! Over the holidays, my best friend & love of my life…we became husband & wife!” Chabert followed up the post with a picture of her hugging her sister and maid of honor, Crissy.
The 31-year-old didn’t reveal her new husband’s name, but a source confirmed to E! News that the groom is Dave Nehdar.
Cuoco, who married professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting on New Year’s Eve, and Bachelorette alumna Ali Fedotowsky were in attendance.
Lacey Chabert’s wedding announcement followed the passing of her grandfather on December 28.
“What a week. Happiest & saddest of times. Ups & downs of life & mysterious way in which they always seem to collide will forever puzzle me,” she wrote.
“Rest peacefully in heaven, PaPaw. We already miss you terribly. Such a wonderful grandfather…love”
Although she is almost 10 years removed from her role as Gretchen Weiners in Mean Girls, people ask Chabert if she’s still trying to make “fetch” happen. Even the White House got into it, posting a picture of the first dog with the caption, “Bo, stop trying to make fetch happen.”
Chabert was flattered by the picture.
“I have to say that was pretty awesome,” Chabert said. “I retweeted it and said, ‘OK, fetch has officially happened.’ I mean, it’s the White House!”
In an interview with Maxim, Chabert said she had a strong support system to avoid the fate of other child stars, including co-star Lindsay Lohan.
“Look, life is tough, and growing up in this business is especially tough. So I really can’t take any credit other than saying I grew up in a really protective family,” she said. “Also, I want a long-lasting career, so you’re not gonna find me doing anything scandalous any time soon.”
