Pippa Middleton Engaged To Banker Boyfriend Nico Jackson [Report]

Pippa Middleton is reportedly engaged to her banker boyfriend, Nico Jackson.

According to Us Weekly, Jackson proposed during the couple’s trip to India’s Oberoi Amarvilas, a five-star resort with views of the Taj Mahal, earlier this month.

“It was exactly how he planned it,” a source told the magazine. “Very romantic and grand!”

The couple will get married some time in 2014.

Middleton, 30, and Jackson, 36, have been together for 15 months, and were first rumored to be engaged in September. There was also talk that Middleton’s older sister, Kate — properly known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge — would be a bridesmaid. Pippa Middleton served as the maid of honor in her sister’s 2011 wedding to Prince William.

“Everyone knows how close the sisters are but at this stage the final arrangements are a long way off,” a source said. “Pippa’s wedding will be a huge occasion but if Kate is a bridesmaid it will be even more high-profile.”

Pippa Middleton published her first book, Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends, in October 2012. She has contributed articles to The Spectator magazine since December 2012, and was named a contributing editor ofVanity Fair in June. Her first article — a piece about her first time attending Wimbledon and her obsession with tennis — appeared in the July 2013 issue. The piece also featured a short Q&A with Roger Federer.

“We’re delighted to have Pippa as a contributor to Vanity Fair,” editor Graydon Carter said. “She’s a keen observer of classic British pastimes. She is also an avid sportswoman, and we look forward to her take on traditional English pursuits, beginning with Wimbledon.”

A source said Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson will spend Boxing Day — the day following Christmas — at Middleton’s family’s Bucklebury estate before traveling to the Alps for vacation.
