Justin Bieber conquered, or at least took on, his well-documented fear of sharks while vacationing in the Bahamas.
The singer has now returned to the States, but photo of the 19-year-old’s encounter with a shiver (also gam, grind, school, herd, pod, collage) of sharks have now surfaced online.

In the shots, Justin and his friend, rapper Lil Za, are seen wearing swimwear while getting up close with the Nurse sharks in the waters surrounding the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.
Nurse sharks can grow to 14ft and reach a weight of up to 110 kg. Typically, they don’t attack humans unless directly threatened.
They are generally known for their sluggish, docile, nocturnal nature and mostly survive on a diet of other fish, crustaceans, and molluscs.
In short, Nurse sharks are the perfect type of shark to swim with for anyone who’s afraid of sharks.
Last year Justin admitted his longstanding fear to Extra, “I’m afraid of sharks,” he revealed, before adding, “I have [swam in the ocean] but I don’t like it. I’m just scared of sharks I guess.”
The pop star vacationed in the Bahamas with his father Jeremy, and a group of friends including his childhood pal Ryan Butler, ex-girlfriend Jacque Rae Pyles, deejay Tay James, Alfredo Flores, and Lil Za. Most of the group have posted Instagrams and/or videos of their holiday experience.
As well as facing his fear of sharks on vacation, Bieber was also seen playing shirtless, night golf in an Instagram posted by a friend on the trip.
The heartthrob headed to the Bahamas shortly after completing a run of North American dates on his Believe world tour. He goes back on the road on September 23 kicking off in Singapore before further dates in Asia, Latin America, New Zealand, and Australia.
Since his return to the US, Justin has kept his fans up to date with his schedule. He retweeted a snap of a photo shoot outtake for adidas Neo, the sportswear giant he represents. The teen star also revealed he spent a night in the studio with producer-rapper Pharrell Williams, subsequently posting an Instagram with the rapper Tyler, The Creator who was also at the studio.

Justin sparked speculation the day after the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday when he posted an Instagram of Pyles. Coming after his previous tweet about a “great dinner” on the night of the VMAs, rumors the pair may have rekindled their old relationship are now doing the rounds.
Bieber’s upcoming single “Heartbreaker” has been teased over the last few months in a fragrance for his latest eau de parfum, The Key. As yet, no release details have been revealed. The singer is also working on his new album and Believe movie with Never Say Never director Jon M. Chu and manager Scooter Braun.
