Breaking Bad Spoilers Revealed By Charlie Rose

Several Breaking Bad spoilers were revealed on Sunday evening by none other than Charlie Rose, during an interview conducted by the infamous television personality with the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan.

Rose told the audience, which consisted of hundreds of people, that he is guest starring in the penultimate episode of the show, which saw him slightly reprimanded by Gilligan for revealing the spoiler.

Rose interviewed Gilligan at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, where the pair were celebrating the opening of a new exhibition, “From Mr. Chips to Scarface: Walter White’s Transformation in Breaking Bad.”

Rose’s spoiler saw him say to Gilligan, “who in the world gave you the idea to include me in the next-to-last episode?” Gilligan was clearly annoyed with the spoiler stating,”Well, uh, that’s a bit of a spoiler there.

Rose then sheepishly remarked, “I spoiled it” This saw Gilligan groan and then nod his head as if to say, “yes.” Rose then tried to explain himself, “I didn’t describe anything. How does that spoil anything?” He then asked, “The check will still be in the mail,” to which Gilligan admitted, “The check should still clear.”

The duo chatted for over 75-minute, with Gilligan even comparing the upcoming conclusion to Breaking Bad to the controversial ending for The Sopranos.

Gilligan noted, “Breaking Bad was always much more of a finite construct. Most TV shows are designed by their nature to be open-ended, to be indefinite, to go on forever. It’s hard to get a TV show going, and once you get it going, you don’t want it to end and I didn’t want Breaking Bad to end.”

He then added, “But I knew creatively when your self-imposed franchise, as was the case in Breaking Bad, is to take your protagonist and turn him into your antagonist, that is a continuum you’ve just ascribed for yourself, and there’s only so bad that bad could be. By its very nature this is something that has a limited shelf life.”
