‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’ DLC Delayed Once Again

Were you hoping to get your hands on the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World DLC that was scheduled to arrive this week? Unfortunately, Ubisoft has delayed the add-on once again.

Scheduled for release on February 6, the Scott Pilgrim expansion would inject some additional content into the game. After public outcry over the lack of online multiplayer grew to a fever pitch, the developers finally decided to include the mode in an upcoming DLC pack.

According to Joystiq, Ubisoft has decided to delay release of the expansion yet again in order to “fine tune” certain aspects of the gameplay.

Destructoid wrote in a recent report:

“The downloadable content for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game’ has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game’ DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the ‘Scott Pilgrim franchise.”

The Gaming Vault explains that the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World DLC is currently without a release date. Those who were hoping to join their friends for a little online brawling will be forced to wait patiently for the add-on once again.

The game was originally released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in August of 2010. Nearly two years after releasing the game without online multiplayer functionality, Ubisoft has finally decided to offer the mode to Scott Pilgrim fans for 160 points. The DLC also comes with Wallace as a playable character.

Are you a fan of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game? Are you disappointed that the multiplayer DLC has been delayed once again?
