Debra Lafave had sex with a student, got off light and now wants access to kids

Debra Lafave made headlines in 2006 when she was convicted of having sex with a 14 year old student, but now she wants access to kids.

The case caused controversy when Lafave was given seven years probation, which was cut to two years in 2008. Many claimed (rightly) that Lafave was treated differently to a male sex offender, who would have without doubt received a custodial sentence.

Debra Lafave’s Attorney has filed a motion to allow her to have supervised visits with children of her family and friends, where approval is given by the parents. As a registered sex offender, she is unable to go near children.

He attorney claims that she has finished her sex offender therapy and poses no risk to the great community.
