‘The Heat’ Red Band Trailer Features Melissa McCarthy Saying Very Bad Things [Video]

Melissa McCarthy Sandra Bullock

If you need an actress to say some truly inappropriate things, then Melissa McCarthy is your girl. The red band trailer for The Heat is all the proof you’ll ever need.

According to Cinema Blend, the upcoming action-comedy featuring Sandra Bullock and the Mike & Molly star is the latest film from Bridesmades director Paul Feig. Seeing as how McCarthy’s performance in the aforementioned hit was praised by almost everyone who saw the movie, it’s not surprising that Feig cast her in his latest feature.

The green band trailer for The Heat arrived last month. However, the clip you see embedded below is a little saltier than its previously-released counterpart. In other words, the trailer contains language that may not be appropriate for work or school.

Collider provides the following synopsis:

“Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins, one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies.”

Melissa McCarthy has been staying very busy since her breakout role in Feig’s 2011 hit comedy Bridesmaids. In addition to The Heat, the actress can be found alongside Jason Bateman in director Seth Gordon’s Identity Thief. That film is expected to hit theaters on February 8, 2013.

The Heat, meanwhile, is scheduled to arrive in US cinemas just a few months later. McCarty fans will have plenty to keep them busy during the first part of the year.
