Sherlock Holmes as an action star?

I grew up reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes and still have fond memories of seeing t he sun come up as I turned the last few pages of many of the classic tales. There has been many a movie and television rendition of Sherlock Holmes through the years but none of them – that I remember – ever depicted my childhood hero as an action star.

That could very well change with the upcoming release of of Guy Ritchie’s re-imaging of the character. While we won’t be seeing the movie until Christmas Day FirstShowing.net has the freshly minted two minute long television trailer up.
