Kim Kardashian Spotted Wearing A Ring Strikingly Similar To The One Stolen In Paris, Did She Get It Back?

Kim Kardashian was recently spotted wearing a massive diamond ring strikingly similar to the one stolen in last year’s infamous Paris heist, leading fans to believe that she might have got the expensive jewelry back.

Earlier this week, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star hosted a star-studded cookout as part of her Fourth of July celebration. The 36-year-old mother of two prepared a hearty meal for her families and friends.

Kim and her rapper husband Kanye West’s BBQ party was attended by celebrities, including 2 Chainz and L.A. Reid. The curvaceous beauty shared several photos and videos from the family gathering on her social media accounts.

Interestingly, one of the guests, 2 Chainz, shared a series of photos from the outing, including a family shot with his baby mama Kesha Ward and three children — Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. The family posed alongside the Kardashian-West clan — Kanye, Kim, North, and Saint.

However, what caught the attention of many was the massive diamond ring on Kim’s finger. A closer look at the photo reveals a ring strikingly similar to the one she was robbed of in Paris in October 2016.

Reports pointed out that the famous Kardashian sister was definitely wearing something that resembles the luxurious 20-karat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring that Kanye gave to the reality star.

With Kim’s latest display of an almost identical ring, many are wondering if the KKW Beauty owner actually got the original ring back, especially with 10 suspects already charged with the robbery.

According to reports, investigators in charge of the case have conducted numerous raids, which could have uncovered the famous engagement ring. Although it was feared that some of the expensive pieces of jewelry had already been sold in the black market, experts pointed out that it’ll be difficult to dispose of the heavily photographed and highly publicized ring as it will be easily recognizable.

If Kim’s ring was actually recovered, authorities revealed that it could have lost three-quarters of its value after being reworked since it’s highly possible that it was recut into smaller stones.

On the other hand, diamond expert Brett Stettner, chairman of Stettner Diamond Investments, who has worked with Lorraine Schwartz before, previously reiterated that Kardashian’s ring has a “slim to none” chance of being recovered despite having a tracking number engraved on it.

Apparently, Stettner believes that the robbers are likely part of a “sophisticated criminal enterprise, like the Pink Panthers, [who] will know how to remove the location numbers [a.k.a. tracking] from the diamond.”

He also pointed out the possibility of it being recut into smaller pieces and shapes, depending on the client’s specifications.

Kim has always been very vocal about how the traumatic Paris robbery changed her life and turned her into “a completely different person.” In one of her interviews, Kardashian broke down in tears as she recalled the life-threatening heist, adding that it was a “wake-up call” for her.

She also claimed that she did not feel comfortable wearing expensive jewelry again after the incident.

In fact, since the robbery, Kim opted to wear a simple wedding ring whenever she is out in public — a far cry from her stolen $4 million emerald-cut diamond ring. She also tried her best to be “modest” when it comes to accessorizing with jewelry.

It remains unclear whether Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did get the original diamond ring back or if they simply replaced it with an identical one. So far, the reality star is yet to step out in public wearing the ring again.
