Mariah Carey Handles Wedding Drama, Divorce Settlement And Affair Rumors
Mariah Carey is dealing with it all and most of it will be seen on her new E! series, Mariah’s World. On the show, the diva is seen trying on a wedding dress and talking about her nuptials to then-fiance James Packer.
The wedding is one of the hottest topics on her new reality show. With all the conflicting reports about Mariah Carey and James Packer’s split, fans want to know what really went down between the couple. Though Carey won’t address the split on the eight-episode docuseries, which premieres Sunday, Dec. 4, she will talk about their wedding.

Not only is Mariah seen trying on a wedding dress in the new Mariah’s World trailer, but she’s also seen flirting with her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka, and it’s even brought concern among the members of Mariah’s staff, according to Us Weekly. First, it’s time to address the wedding drama.
Carey is seen trying on a glittery white wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Packer, though since filming ended, the two have split. The new trailer also shows Carey laughing in the midst of male models, eating a pot brownie, pretending to throw diamonds against a wall, and sitting in the lap of a man who might have a crush on her.
“Tanaka does have a crush on her,” someone on Carey’s team says in the clip. A second person then says, “What are we going to do with him?” The first person responds, “You saw it – he’s not leaving that easily.”

An alleged inside source previously told Us Weekly that although Carey and Tanaka are “close,” things were never “sexual” between them. “She didn’t cheat,” the insider added.
It was reported months ago that Packer was allegedly irate after seeing the singer give her backup dancer a lap dance, according to the Daily Mail.
The clip even shows a crewmember uttering the words: “The most low-maintenance on the whole f***ing tour is Mariah.”
There are plenty of happy moments, such as the powerhouse singer spending time with ex-husband Nick Cannon and their 5-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. The former couple have finally reached a settlement in their divorce. However, it brought up some revelations about the couple’s finances and co-parenting, according to a report via Page Six.
The twins currently reside with Carey, 46. If Cannon, 36, visits, Carey pays for all of his travel and lodging expenses, according to TMZ. The settlement also requires that the children are not to refer to anyone but Carey and Cannon as Mom or Dad. Cannon was also required to pay $5,000 per month in a trust for their twins.
Carey and Cannon married in 2008, and later separated in August 2014. The couple settled their divorce in September in time for Carey to marry then-fiance Packer. But, unfortunately, the pair split last month before walking down the aisle. Packer’s ex-fiancee, Kate Fischer, stated that she knows how Carey can win back the billionaire businessman if she’s wanting to reconcile with him.
In an open letter published by New Idea, obtained by ET, Fischer wrote she had a “real sense of déjà vu” when she heard that Packer and Carey called off their engagement.
“If you really want him back, play the game,” Fischer wrote. “Let him make the key decisions and you may well live happily ever after as Mariah Carey Packer.”
Fischer noted that Packer’s entourage and his family got in the way of their relationship. She describers Packer’s late father, Kerry, as “intimidating,” and says that his mother, Ros, “isn’t the easiest woman to impress.”
There has been no indication that Mariah wants James back. She has been keeping her head held high and her composure together since their breakup. Mariah has been spotted wearing sparkly bodysuits on stage and was even partying with one of her backup dancers, according to the ET report. She also has been getting into the Christmas spirit with her family.
