Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Want A Baby Girl, But Will They Get Married First?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their romance nearly one year ago and as they prepare for Stefani’s return to The Voice, they are facing rumors of an upcoming wedding and possible plans for an adoption.

According to a new report, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will walk down the aisle in December and make their relationship official less than two years after divorcing their former spouses.

On October 27, the Parent Herald shared details about Gwen Stefani’s allegedly upcoming wedding, claiming that while the nuptials were set to take place in just 2 months, she and Shelton weren’t rushing the preparation, nor had they made any official announcement in regard to the ceremony. The outlet also spoke of the couple’s potential decision to expand their family, revealing Shelton has had plenty of parenting practice with Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2.

Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, welcomed three children during their marriage and parted ways in August of last year. According to an Us Weekly report months later, Gwen Stefani chose to divorce her husband months after learning he had allegedly engaged in a months-long affair with their former nanny, Mindy Mann. Although the Bush rocker initially denied having done any such thing, Gwen Stefani reportedly discovered evidence on their family’s iPad and ultimately, Rossdale was believed to have admitted to cheating.

As for Shelton’s past marriages, he’s been married twice, most recently to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert. However, he and his former spouses did not welcome any children during their marriages.

As Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton reportedly finalize their wedding plans, they are also being faced with reports of a possible adoption. Earlier this month, Life & Style magazine shared a report claiming Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton would do anything to add a baby girl to their family.

According to the report, Gwen Stefani has turned to in-vitro fertilization in hopes of becoming pregnant with a baby girl, but if that doesn’t work, she and Shelton will reportedly look into adoption.

“They will absolutely pursue adoption,” an insider told the magazine. “It might be a baby, or it might be a toddler. But no matter what, they want a little girl in their arms by the end of 2017.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may be rumored to be getting married, but as of August, they weren’t yet engaged. That said, a source at the time spoke to People Magazine and hinted that an engagement would be coming very soon.

“They are not engaged yet, [but] everyone is expecting it to happen at some point,” the insider explained. “It seems the timing [for an engagement] just hasn’t been right, but Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake.”

At the time of the report, Gwen Stefani was in the midst of her tour while Blake Shelton was busy with his filming duties with The Voice.

“Blake has been very excited for [Gwen Stefani]. He understands the pressure of a tour before it all kicks off, and he is Gwen’s biggest fan,” the source explained. “Their relationship is almost too good to be true. They are very much alike and really have a very special relationship. All the things that need to work out for two people to merge lives have worked out.”

Gwen Stefani will return to The Voice next spring for Season 12.
