Brad Pitt’s Reportedly Cries At First Reunion With Kids After Separation from Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt reportedly broke down in tears when he met his children for the first time after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce September 19, Hollywood Life is reporting.
According to a report, Brad Pitt met with his kids for 90 minutes under the scrutiny of the Department of Children Family Services. The Ocean’s Thirteen star and the kids got very emotional considering that they had not seen each other for over three weeks.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children together. They are son Maddox Chivan, 15, son Pax Thien, 12, daughter Zahara Marley, 11, daughter Shiloh Nouvel, 10, and twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, 8.
An insider said that the 52-year-old World War Z actor met with the kids at a neutral location outside his home and arrived via an underground garage. According to the source, not all the children were available for the first reunion, which the source described as an “emotional meeting.”

“Once the kids came in…he had tears in his eyes and tried to hold it together because he didn’t want them to get upset because he was crying.”
During the reunion, the kids played and drew pictures with their father. The emotional visit eventually took its toll Vivienne and Zahara, who broke into tears and asked their father to take them home. Brad said that would happen very soon. According to the source, the children felt that their father did not want to take them home, and they felt they were being held responsible for the breakup between their parents.
“Brad told them this situation with the social workers wasn’t their fault and that no one was in trouble…the visit was gut-wrenching…and by ‘home’ they apparently met Brad’s compound in LA’s Los Feliz neighborhood…he said it would be soon.”
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after a dozen years together and two years of marriage. In her divorce papers, the Salt star cited “irreconcilable differences” when she asked for physical custody of the children.
A source close to the actress said she had filed the separation papers for the “health of the family.”
Since then, allegations have swirled over what really lead to the break up between the Hollywood couple. One report claimed that Pitt had an affair with his co-star, Marion Cotillard, on the set of his latest movie, Allied. The French actress has denied the claims, saying that she is pregnant and happy in her relationship with actor-director, Guillaume Canet.

Another source said the marriage went overboard because the 41-year-old actress got tired with Brad Pitt’s romance with weed and alcohol, believing it blurred his parenting skills and had an adverse effect on the children.
A source close to the couple has dismissed the claims as a “malicious lie,” adding that Pitt is a “loving and devoted father who has never and would never put his children in any dangerous situation.”
The Fury actor was also accused of getting into an altercation with his first son on a plane. According to TMZ, the golden-haired actor “went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids.” According to the story, the actor continued ranting on the tarmac and tried to leave in a fuel truck, abandoning his children with their mother.
The FBI was called to investigate the incident and have since confirmed that no charges would be brought against the Fight Club star. According to FBI sources, there was “no case to begin with.”
Jolie’s divorce proceedings are being handled by the divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, who goes by the moniker “Disso Queen” because of the way she handles the divorce proceedings of some of Hollywood’s biggest people.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hooked up in 2004 on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. At that time, Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston. The 47-year-old Friends star is currently married to Justin Theroux.
