‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spoilers Week 3: Six Couples In Jeopardy, Which Celeb Faces Elimination After Tonight’s Face-Off Challenge?

Dancing with the Stars returns for the third week of competition on September 26, and votes from viewers will be the key to saving one couple from elimination. ABC has revealed that Monday night’s one-hour show will feature a brand new Face-Off challenge that will leave six couples in jeopardy for Tuesday night’s results show.

Monday night’s broadcast of Dancing with the Stars will be shortened to just one hour due to the live telecast of the first presidential debate on ABC, but it will be an hour jam-packed with performances.

Last week, DWTS contestant Jake T. Austin was eliminated, and many viewers were shocked that former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who sat at the bottom of the leaderboard for two weeks, was safe to move on to Week 3. Now, the attention turns to not only low-scoring Rick Perry but to Maureen McCormick and Amber Rose, who were both in jeopardy last week.

According to Buddy TV, all 12 couples will dance in a Face-Off challenge that will be broken down into six match-ups between two couples who will be dancing the same style to completely different songs. The couples who end up with the highest score after each Face-Off round will win immunity, leaving six couples in jeopardy heading into Tuesday night’s live results show.

If your favorite celebrity dancer is one of the six who ends up in jeopardy on Monday night, it’s important to vote. Even if the couples end up with the lowest judges’ scores on Monday, votes from viewers could help save them from elimination. That’s exactly what happened last week when everyone thought Rick Perry would be going home and DWTS host Tom Bergeron announced that he was safe. Viewers’ votes kept him in the competition for another week.

The couple with the lowest combined scores from the judges and fans will go home at the end of Tuesday night’s live results show. According to a previous report from the Inquisitr, viewers who are over 18 and live in the United States can vote online or by calling the toll-free voting phone numbers assigned to each couple.

Which DWTS couples have the best chance of winning immunity on Monday night?

Figuring out who will win each Face-Off challenge is difficult for some of the pairings, but for some of the less talented celebrity dancers, the outcome of Monday night’s challenge is an easy one to predict.

For example, James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess have stayed at the top of the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard for the first two weeks. They will face off against low-scoring Ryan Lochte and his pro partner, Cheryl Burke — it would be a shocker to see Ryan win the challenge.

On the other hand, there is at least one matchup that won’t be quite as easy to predict. Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, are this season’s couple to beat, or that seems to be the general consensus among DWTS fans. However, they will go up against Marilu Henner and her partner Derek Hough, who has won the Mirrorball trophy six times.

Here’s a look at the Face-Off challenge pairings along with a prediction as to which six couples will win immunity this week. Keep in mind, these are only predictions, and fan votes could be a game changer.

  • Jana and Gleb vs. Babyface and Allison — Jana predicted winner
  • Laurie and Val vs. Marilu and Derek — Too close to call!
  • James and Sharna vs. Ryan and Cheryl — James predicted winner
  • Calvin and Lindsay vs Terra and Sasha — Calvin predicted winner
  • Maureen and Artem vs. Amber and Maks — Amber predicted winner
  • Vanilla Ice and Witney vs. Rick and Emma — Vanilla Ice predicted winner

Which Dancing with the Stars celebrity will go home on Tuesday night?

Two names are swirling around the DWTS rumor mill as the most likely to leave this week: Ryan Lochte and Rick Perry. Will Rick get enough votes to carry him over for another week, or will Ryan impress the judges but fail to get enough votes from fans to allow him to continue?

Not only will it be worth tuning in to watch the one-hour Face-Off challenge on Monday night, the live Dancing with the Stars results show, scheduled to air on Tuesday night, may end up being one of the most shocking outcomes of the season so far.

Watch Dancing with the Stars starting at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, September 26 followed by the live results show on Tuesday, September 27 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
