Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Liz And Dick’ Performance Receives High Marks From Lifetime

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s performance in the upcoming biopic Liz and Dick is receiving a fair amount of praise from the folks at Lifetime, according to Gather. Lohan’s portrayal of screen legend and fellow bad girl Elizabeth Taylor has been the talk of the industry since she landed the role. Although the film has yet to screened for critics, at least one person believes that Lindsay has delivered the goods.

During a recent appearance at an event in New York City, Lifetime Network’s Vice President of Programming Rob Sharenow discussed Lindsay Lohan’s performance in the network’s original movie Liz and Dick. Not surprisingly, the exec had nothing but positive things to say about Lohan’s turn as Elizabeth Taylor. If his review is to be believed, then fans of the embattled actress should be in for a real treat this November.

“I mean she really delivered. I think you’ll be very impressed. It’s an amazing performance — very compelling. She really inhabits the role in a way that’s astonishing,” Sharenow explained.

Perez Hilton reports that the promotional campaign for Liz and Dick is now in full swing. With the film’s world television premiere slated for next month, Lifetime has pulled out all the stops in an effort to get viewers to tune in. Not only has the network issued a number of promos for the flick, executives sprung for an extremely large poster to be displayed on the side of a building in West Hollywood earlier this week.

Liz and Dick — which also stars Grant Bowler, Theresa Russell, and David Hunt — has been described by Internet Movie Database as follows:

“On the set of Cleopatra, Hollywood’s most beautiful star, Elizabeth Taylor, fell into the arms of one of the world’s greatest actors, Richard Burton – and she didn’t leave. Their subsequent white-hot, scandalous love affair gave rise to the paparazzi and they became the most hunted and photographed couple on earth.”

Viewers can determine for themselves if Lindsay Lohan’s portrayl of Elizabeth Taylor is spot-on when Liz and Dick premieres on November 25.
