‘Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Marie & Mike Shay Celebrate Their 2-Year Wedding Anniversary

Scheana Marie and her husband, Mike Shay, are celebrating their 2-year wedding anniversary today.

As filming continues on the upcoming 5th season of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Marie shared a special message about her wedding on Twitter on the eve of her and Shay’s anniversary.

“[Two] years ago exactly I remember watching Fresh Prince, unable to sleep at the casita bc I was SO excited for our wedding the next day!” Scheana Marie tweeted to her fans and followers on July 26.

The following day, Scheana Marie took to Instagram, where she shared a photo of herself and Shay on their wedding day.

“Two years ago I married my best friend. Today, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life! @mikeshaymusic I love you so much baby! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!” Scheana Marie captioned the throwback photo.

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay got engaged during an episode of Vanderpump Rules years ago, which featured Shay popping the question at the home of Lisa Vanderpump. At the time, Shay had tons of help from his co-stars, including Katie Maloney and Stassi Schroeder, who were present at the time of his proposal. Then, during the show’s third season, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay tied the knot as cameras rolled.

Also on Twitter on July 27, Scheana Marie’s Vanderpump Rules co-star and friend, Brittany Cartwright, the girlfriend of Jax Taylor, sent her and Shay a special anniversary message, which they both re-tweeted.

“Happy Anniversary @scheanamarie & @MikeShayMusic! I love you guys!!” she wrote.

Months after Scheana Marie and Mike Shay tied the knot, the Vanderpump Rules star and SUR Restaurant staff member spoke to Gossip Girl about her future plans to start a family.

“I would possibly consider it in a year, depending on where my career is at that point in time, but realistically I think three years,” she told the outlet, according to a report by Bravo TV’s Daily Dish. “I want to travel more and I’m not ready to give up my fireball shots and beer. I don’t want to be a pregnant waitress. So, I’m thinking we’ll wait a few years, but I don’t want to be like a Jennifer Aniston who keeps waiting and then you’re 42. I’m staying on my birth control until I’m ready.”

Over one year later, Scheana Marie re-addressed the topic during an interview with Daily Dish, claiming that while she and Shay do want children, they are planning to wait a few more years. Also during the interview, Scheana Marie revealed that she and Shay are mentally preparing themselves for the potential addition of twins, which run in both sides of their families.

Although the thought of twins may be a bit scary to some future parents, Scheana Marie is excited about the idea of having two babies at once.

“If it was the first time, and it was a boy and a girl, I’d be, oh my God, I’d be ecstatic,” she admitted. “Like, I would never have to get pregnant again. If it was two boys, I’d try for a girl. If it was two girls, I would still be happy, I’d be done, but I’d try again to get [Shay] his boy.”

For more of Scheana Marie and Mike Shay, as well as the rest of the cast, tune into Vanderpump Rules Season 5 when the show returns to Bravo TV later this year. So far, a premiere date has not been announced.
