Homes threatened in Glendale Fire

A brush fire in Glendale, less than 10 miles from the center of Los Angeles is threatening homes as authorities attempt to bring the blaze under control.
Homes in the Eagle Rock area are currently under a voluntary evacuation order, and compulsory evacuations may not be far off according to multiple reports. Winds in the area currently mild, however the temperature remains in the mid to high 90s.
Firefighters from Glendale and Los Angeles are on location, and water bombers have been called in to assist. Unconfirmed reports suggest that some or all of the Ventura (134) Freeway have been closed.
Authorities suspect that the fire may have been deliberately lit. More when we have it.
