Christina Aguilera Discusses Her Children And ‘The Voice’ On ‘Ellen’ [Video]
Christina Aguilera appeared on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week, and while chatting with the host, the Voice coach gushed about her kids, son Max and daughter Summer Rain, and her return to the NBC series.
While chatting about her 8-year-old son, Max, Christina Aguilera revealed he had taken on an unusual hobby.
“Max is into this new sport a.k.a free running, parkour. It’s all these crazy men jumping off of buildings and stuff. He’s just like this little acrobat,” Christina Aguilera revealed during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, according to a report by Hello on May 16. “He’ll be in Cirque du Soleil one day or something, he’s just that guy.”
Christina Aguilera treated DeGeneres and viewers to a video of her son, and right away, Ellen was impressed.
As for what Max thought of his famous mom, Christina Aguilera said her current stint on The Voice was less than thrilling for her son.
“He couldn’t care less that I’m on The Voice – the chairs, the whole thing, he couldn’t care less,” she smiled. “But if I was on American Ninja Warriors he would literally want to come to work with me every day. Then I’d be cool, the cool mom.”
Christina Aguilera has been starring on The Voice on and off for the past several years, but after the currently airing 10th season comes to a close, she will be taking a break — at least temporarily — as Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys join the show for Season 11.
In the past, Christina Aguilera had been alternating seasons with Gwen Stefani, but due to Stefani’s tour dates in October, she was not able to film as she typically does during the fall seasons of The Voice.
Regarding her youngest child, Summer Rain, who will be 2 in August, Christina Aguilera added, “She’s swimming right now. Already. I know, it freaked me out a little, but it’s actually a safety thing!”

Christina Aguilera left The Voice ahead of Season 7 years ago to tend to her second pregnancy, and while she has been taking the spring seasons off ever since, he claims she’s getting used to the cycle.
“It’s always a little easier to get back into it because they’re in such a flow and it’s become so huge since that first season that I signed on,” Christina Aguilera said of her comeback, via a report by Sunday World. “And we’re doing really great, I’ve got two remaining members, Bryan and Alisan, they’re just killing it every single week and I just loving getting to know these amazing talents and helping them.”
That said, it has yet to be confirmed whether or not Christina Aguilera will come back to the show for Season 12 next spring. In March, a report by the Wrap claimed Stefani would likely return and be joined by other members of the cast, including Pharrell Williams, but there was no mention of Christina Aguilera or her future with the show.

Christina Aguilera began dating Matt Rutler in 2010 after splitting from former husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her son Max. In February 2014, they became engaged.
Rutler is the father of Christina Aguilera’s 1-year-old daughter, Summer Rain.
