Josh Duggar Scandals Cause Grief, But Michelle Duggar Lists Laundry & Diapers As Darkest Hour Amid New Outrage

Josh Duggar has become associated with sex scandals for months, beginning with the reports that he molested several underage girls (including some of his sisters) as a teenager and continuing with his own confession that he cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar, and was addicted to porn. Now that Josh has left the treatment center, some of the Duggars are becoming increasingly candid about the anguish that he caused, reported Us Weekly.

Jessa Duggar took her brother’s confession that he had cheated on Anna and was addicted to pornography particularly hard because she had previously defended him after the molestation scandals.

“It was very difficult, and we cried a lot of tears, and I feel like it was especially difficult for me just because I had spoken out for Josh and stood up for him, and then there was another whole wave of things that came through, and some things were exposed about his personal life now, what he was currently involved in,” admitted Jessa.

Moreover, Jessa revealed that she was angry at Josh for his dishonesty and failure to be open with the family.

“There were some things that he was hiding and that he wasn’t being honest about,” she added.

Jessa had stepped forward to identify herself as one of Josh’s five victims, noted the Vine Report.

She had previously slammed those describing Duggar as a child molester or pedophile, but then felt betrayed when he confessed to being unfaithful to Anna and having a pornography addiction. Jessa’s sister Jinger also discussed the pain that Josh caused the family.

“Just the reality of this, this person we thought we knew, the person that we loved greatly – we still love – just the hard pain that has caused.”

Some of Josh’s siblings reportedly are shunning him and will not contact him. But despite all this grief expressed by her children, Michelle Duggar recently shared that her darkest hours had nothing to do with Josh or even the fact that his scandals resulted in the cancellation of their profitable 19 Kids and Counting.

Instead, Michelle revealed that her lowest point was due to laundry and diaper duty, reported the Stir.

On her blog, Michelle shared her depression over doing laundry at 1 a.m.

“I cried aloud, ‘LORD I NEED YOUR HELP, I can’t do it all! I feel so inadequate! Diapers, dishes, laundry, meals, cleanup, school lessons, baths, hugs, kisses, correction…’ My list seemed to go on and on,” she recalled.

After completing her list, Michelle mentioned a few days later the fatigue she was experiencing over laundry to a piano teacher. The woman volunteered her services and continued to help for years.

While Michelle carefully avoided adding dealing with Josh’s multiple scandals to her list of tough times, those in the community, as well as his family, are dealing in different ways with their awareness of Duggar’s history.

Josh made a public appearance at the family-focused Old MacDonald’s Farm mini-golf course in Sevierville, Tennessee, and noticeably upset some people there, an observer told In Touch.

A picture taken there circulated, with a happy Josh seemingly unaware of the outrage that he had sparked.

“Three families with young girls were unhappy Josh was so close to them and left the golf course when they saw him and Jim Bob,” revealed the eyewitness.

Staff members at the golf course were put in the awkward position of attempting to help the parents of those young girls while permitting Josh to be among the customers.

“The parents were not comfortable,” noted the eyewitness. “The staff tried to be as polite as possible to the angry parents, but it seemed there was little they could do to stop Josh from being a customer.”
