‘Real Housewives’ Bethenny Frankel: Health Scare Or, As Mother Claims, Publicity Stunt?

The new season of The Real Housewives of New York is about to launch, and in addition to dealing with what fans know is a serious health crisis, Bethenny Frankel now has to deal with her estranged mother, who is sharing her opinions about the whole thing. The woman Bethenny Frankel has described as negligent and abusive has gone public to share her thoughts regarding Frankel’s health crisis. She states that if it was a big deal, then she would have heard about it, although she admits she hasn’t seen Frankel in over 10 years.

According to the Inquisitr, in Bethenny Frankel’s teaser of the new RHONY season, Bethenny Frankel said that it was an issue of a female nature, and she wanted to make sure she had a living will and other paperwork handled before she goes in for surgery, as most responsible parents would do to protect their children. Frankel has certainly shown her dedication to her daughter, Brynn.

Radar Online says that Frankel’s mother, Bernadette Birk, says that she doesn’t know what Bethenny’s issue is, but she’s sure it’s “no big deal.” Virk has not only not seen Bethenny Frankel in 12 years, they haven’t spoken in that long. Frankel apparently likes it that way.

“I really don’t know anything about her life and I don’t want to.”

And yet, Birk thinks that she should comment publicly on Frankel’s situation. Whatever it is, Birk said that Frankel has no doubt blown it way out of proportion.

“An overnight stay in the hospital is no big deal. It could be something cosmetic.”

And it has been suggested that Birk would know something about the cosmetic end of things.

Whatever the health situation is, Bethenny Frankel promises fans that she will deal with it head on, and all will be revealed during the new season.

In Touch is quoting Bethenny Frankel’s mother as saying that Frankel is using whatever the issue is to seek attention. However, by chatting about someone she hasn’t contacted in over a decade, Birk looks like the one who is seeking attention on Frankel’s behalf.

“Bethenny is a publicity-mad drama queen. When she has a hangnail, she acts like her finger is falling off.”

Birk is suggesting that Frankel is alleging she has a medical problem, but she is probably having a tummy tuck. Birk says she is sure of this, because her family doesn’t have any hereditary medical problems.

“She’s a miserable daughter, and if we never speak again, it’ll be too soon.”

If that is the case, why comment at all?

All About the Tea explained that Bernadette Birk for some reason is taking the launch of the new season of Real Housewives to make the rounds and share her thoughts of Bethenny Frankel with the media. Tea commented that Birk hardly seems at all warm and fuzzy.

Whatever the issue, Bethenny Frankel is hoping that going through it will help to show other women that by being proactive, they can get help. Frankel clearly is not seeking advice or help from the less than compassionate Bernadette Birk.
