Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton ‘Not Engaged’ Despite Engagement Ring Rumors, Singer’s Rep Confirms

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship may still be going strong, but it doesn’t appear that the Voice duo is engaged just yet.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party last Sunday, marking the couple’s first official red carpet appearance together since confirming their relationship in November. While all eyes were fixed on Gwen Stefani’s gorgeous semi-sheer Yanina Couture gown in honor of the event, fans were also quick to point out that Gwen appeared to be donning some special jewelry on her left ring finger.

It didn’t take long for engagement rumors to begin plaguing the couple after their red carpet debut, with one tabloid claiming that Gwen’s sparkling jewelry was, in fact, an engagement ring gifted to her by Blake Shelton.

Despite claims that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are secretly engaged, Gossip Cop reports that a rep for Gwen has officially denied engagement rumors for the duo and insists that Gwen’s Vanity Fair Oscars party jewelry was “one of several pieces” that she wore for the star-studded event.

The news comes just days after an alleged source close to Gwen and Blake revealed to People that a future engagement for the couple is “very possible.”

The source explains that despite the fact that Stefani and Shelton have only been a couple for four months, Gwen thinks of her boyfriend as the “biggest blessing” following her divorce from Gavin Rossdale and notes that “they share both good life experience, like work, and bad ones, like their divorces.”

Speaking on Gwen’s split from husband Gavin Rossdale last year, the source admits that Gwen “was questioning if she would ever meet someone who would accept her boys,” referring to sons Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2.

While Gwen and Blake are not shy when it comes to heating up their relationship, another source close to the music couple admits that they aren’t “putting pressure on themselves” to get engaged anytime soon and that they are “just enjoying life together,” albeit noting that the couple’s friends see a “long-term future” for Gwen and Blake going forward.

“They seem too perfect for each other for it to just be a fluke,” Gwen Stefani’s source explains of the recent breakup speculation, “For now, they seem happy with their relationship, but Blake is old-fashioned and a future engagement seems very possible.”

Speaking of breakup rumors, Gwen Stefani personally dispelled claims that she and Blake Shelton had called it quits last week after she posed alongside a tabloid cover that reads, “Gwen & Blake SPLIT!”

Gwen took to Twitter to mock the tabloid’s false claims, sharing a photo of the tabloid in an airport newsstand with the caption, “#airportnews gx.”

While Blake has been relatively quiet when it comes to the rumors surrounding his romance with Gwen Stefani, the Voice coach recently opened up to Country Countdown USA about his new song, “Came Here to Forget,” which Shelton describes as his most “personal” to date and is rumored to reference both his divorce from Miranda Lambert and budding relationship with Gwen Stefani.

“All the awful things that have happened in my personal life—but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life,” Shelton explained, adding, “I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and that’s put all I’ve gone through and put it into music, and I never felt more connected to a record before.”

“When people hear this record, they may not know what happened to me, but they’re gonna know how I felt about it.”
