‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 22 Cast — See The Stars Confirmed For The Show

Dancing With The Stars cast for Season 22 is nearly set, according to multiple media reports.

While the entire cast is set to be announced on March 8 during Good Morning America, the majority of the slots have already been filled for the upcoming Dancing With The Stars episodes, Us Weekly reported Thursday. The following is a list of confirmed participants for Season 22.

Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton – better known to viewers of The O.C. as Marissa Cooper – is scheduled to perform on Dancing With The Stars, the Huffington Post reported. Her acting credits include roles on hit 1990’s movies The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill.

Except for a lone season on the 2009 CW series The Beautiful Life, Mischa Barton has not been a regular on a TV series since The O.C. ended in 2006. Instead, the actress has performed in a number of independent film projects over the past decade.

Nyle DiMarco

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 winner Nyle DiMarco will trade in the runway for the dance floor, E! Online reported. Nyle DiMarco – a 26-year-old deaf actor – is not the first deaf competitor on Dancing With The Stars. In 2008, Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin glided through the competition for a seventh-place finish.

Perhaps two is Nyle DiMarco’s lucky number. After winning the ANTM Cycle 22 competition – becoming only the second male to win the competition – the deaf model could win a second competition as Nyle DiMarco joins DWTS Season 22.

Kim Fields

The Facts of Life alum Kim Fields with be joining the Dancing With The Stars cast this year, Entertainment Tonight reported in late February. The announcement made Kim Fields one of the first stars to commit to the upcoming season.

The 46-year-old actress, who is better known as Tootie from the 1980’s sitcom, joined the cast of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta this past year. While Kim would not be the oldest competitor on Dancing With The Stars (that distincton belongs to Donnie Osmond), Fields would make the third female winner in a row and give the ladies a 13-9 advantage over the guys in the competition.

Marla Maples

Marla Maples knows a thing or two about Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump. That’s because the 52-year-old Executive Decision actress was married to Trump in 1990’s. The two divorced in 1999 and had one child – Tiffany Trump – during the marriage.

Marla Maples has been rumored to be a part of Dancing With The Stars before, but a proposed appearance during Season 6 fell through. Marla Maples decided to join ABC in another capacity as the actress took part in the 2007 reality TV series The Ex-Wives Club.

Von Miller

The Super Bowl 50 MVP – Von Miller – will be trying his hand at securing more hardware this year. According to The Denver Post, Von Miller will be a part of Dancing With The Stars Season 22 in his quest to secure the mirror ball trophy in the season finale.

Von Miller will be able to focus most of his energy on dancing as the star received the franchise tag from the Denver Broncos, meaning he will be returning to the squad in 2016. Other players on the defending Super Bowl champions may be looking for new homes during the off-season, the Inquisitr reported Wednesday.

Geraldo Rivera

Fair and balanced is a slogan Fox News anchor Geraldo Rivera will try to translate to the ballroom floor for Dancing With The Stars Season 22, the New York Postreported Thursday. Rivera – who recently finished runner-up on The Apprentice last season – is a reality TV show veteran who hopes to parlay his skills into a mirror ball trophy.

Geraldo Rivera plans to balance his professional reporting with his semi-professional dancing. The veteran news anchor plans to split time between Dancing With The Stars and his reporting duties by flying back and forth between New York and LA during the competition.

Ginger Zee

When Dancing With The Stars announces their cast on Good Morning America on March 8, Ginger Zee will be a well-known name to the majority of viewers watching the announcement. The reason? Ginger Zee serves as the show’s meteorologist.

Returning to the dance floor should help Ginger Zee shed some unwanted baby weight after giving birth to her first child in December, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Jodie Sweetin

Actress Jodie Sweetin made her return to acting this year with Fuller House, the reboot of the 1990’s Full House sitcom. Now, Jodie Sweetin will be making her return to ABC as a cast member for Dancing With The Stars, People Magazine reported Thursday.

“I really want to do the show. I just want to dance, but the fact that it would be on camera, and I’d get to have my hair and makeup done and wear those costumes? Awesome!”

Rumored Cast Members

While the stars listed above could certainly not end up on the stage when the Dancing With The Stars cast members are announced on March 8, most of these competitors seemed locked into the competition. Yet others have been rumored to be hitting the ballroom floor this season, too.

Antonio Brown – the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver – has been rumored to be a part of the show, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. Fellow gridiron great Doug Flutie and MMA fighter Paige VanZant are other professional athletes that have been linked to Dancing With The Stars Season 22, Hollywood Take reported.

Hollywood Life is reporting that The Bachelor‘s Ben Higgins has been offered a part on Dancing With The Stars for the upcoming season. “I’m not against any opportunity that presents itself,” Higgins reportedly told E! Online in an interview.
