Drake Continues To Tease ‘Views From The 6’ Release On Instagram, New Album Not Yet Finished?

Drake has been teasing fans with subtle hints about his highly anticipated Views From The 6 album since last year, but as rumors continue to suggest that Drake is gearing up to release his new album in the coming weeks, it appears that the rapper is only adding to the speculation with a new round of Instagram photos.

Drake took to Instagram on Thursday to share four new photos from his studio session with Noah “40” Shebib, Future the Prince, and Oliver El-Khatib, seemingly hinting that Views From The 6 has yet to be completed, Complex reports.

In one of Drake’s new photos, appropriately captioned with a “6,” Drake can be seen sitting at the recording studio console alongside Shebib before adding an “okay-hand sign emoji” over one of his eyes. In another pic, Drake can be seen chatting with 40 in the studio, leading fans to assume that the rapper isn’t quite finished with Views despite new rumors hinting at a potential February release date for Drake’s upcoming album.

According to industry source HITS Daily Double, Drake’s Views From The 6 is rumored to release sometime in February, most likely around the same time as the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on February 15.

The site also notes that Drake, who has been engaging in some friendly competition with Kanye West regarding their new music releases, may be waiting to drop Views until Kanye West releases his highly-anticipated album, Swish, on February 11.

Some fans also point out that since Drake will be coaching the NBA All-Star Celebrity game in his native Toronto on February 12, just one day before the 1-year anniversary of his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late mixtape release, it’s possible that Drake is holding out on dropping Views until the second weekend in February.

While some argue that Drake isn’t ready to release his new album given the numerous studio photos posted to his Instagram account lately, Complex suggests that Drake and 40 are purposely teasing fans with hints that the album may be near completion in an effort to intensify the hype surrounding Views‘ release.

The news comes just weeks after Drake teased fans that his new album would be “coming soon” during his New Year’s Eve bash in Miami, seemingly fueling speculation that Views is due for an early 2016 release.

Despite Drake’s reassurance that Views From The 6 is on its way, fans were met with disappointment earlier this month after the widely-reported January 16 drop date for Drake’s new album turned out to be false.

Just days after Shebib seemingly hinted that Views had been completed by sharing a photo of a computer folder named after the impending album, rumors emerged suggesting that Drake would debut either a new track or confirm an official release date for Views From The 6 during a new episode of OVO Sound Radio.

The rumors only continued to escalate after Meek Mill dropped his “I’m Da Plug Freestyle” diss track aimed at Drake just hours before OVO Sound Radio was to begin their live broadcast via Apple Music, leading some fans to anticipate the arrival of Drake’s rumored third Meek Mill diss track “3 Peat” during the segment.

Alas, the two-hour segment came and went with no news or music from Drake regarding his upcoming album, causing fans to lash out at the rapper on social media for neglecting to offer any new information about Views‘ release.

While it looks like Drake will only continue to tease fans with cryptic photos and captions prior to the album’s release, when do you think we can expect Drake to officially drop Views From The 6?
