Selena Gomez And Niall Horan Split: She Goes Public With Samuel Krost, But Still Longs For One Direction Singer? [Photos]
Selena Gomez and Niall Horan have officially parted ways after a brief romance weeks ago. While Selena Gomez was believed to be in a committed relationship with the One Direction singer just a short while ago, she has since stepped out with a new man, seemingly confirming there is nothing going on with her and Niall anymore.
As her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, continues to flaunt his rumored romance with model Hailey Baldwin, Selena Gomez has stepped out with Samuel Krost, a close friend of model Gigi Hadid, for the second time in the last few months. During their latest outing, the couple was photographed holding hands.

On January 19, Radar Online shared the photos with readers, revealing the two 23-year-olds had enjoyed a romantic dinner before being spotted by paparazzi. The couple were also seen last week at the 1OAK Nightclub in Los Angeles, and after that particular outing, a source claimed things between Selena Gomez and Krost weren’t as serious as they led on. In fact, at the time, the source suggested Selena Gomez still had feelings for Horan.
“The pictures of [Selena Gomez] and Samuel may have looked more romantic than they really were, those two are well and truly in the friend zone,” a source told Hollywood Life. “After being introduced to Samuel by their mutual pal Gigi Hadid last year, [Selena Gomez] maintained a friendship with him because she thinks he’s so entertaining and funny. But she isn’t attracted to him in anyway, she just loves his company.”

Selena Gomez and Krost were also seen together in New York City in November of last year, where they got extremely close during a dinner date with friends. In photos of that outing, Selena Gomez was spotted on Krost’s lap and later held his hand as she gazed into his eyes. Still, the Hollywood Life source claimed Selena Gomez only had eyes for Horan.
“[Selena Gomez]’s smitten with Niall and really missed him over the Christmas holidays when he was back in the UK with his family,” the source alleged, prior to the latest set of photos being released. “She really would like her romance with Niall to work, but they haven’t got a tag on their relationship yet. They’re dating, not boyfriend and girlfriend, so there’s no commitment just yet.”
Selena Gomez had been confusing fans with her love life for the last several months, but after she and Horan were spotted together in Los Angeles, she seemed to be committed. Then, however, just a short while afterward, she was linked to Orlando Bloom, who she’d also been rumored to be dating years ago, when she attended his birthday party and posed for a cozy photo with the actor. Now, after her dinner date with Krost, and the latest details from Hollywood Life, her relationship status is even more unclear.
Selena Gomez has been busy with her career, cranking out hit singles left and right, the latest of which are “Hands To Myself” and “My Girls,” which she performed at the end of last year during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The event ironically included Krost’s BFF, Gigi Hadid.
As rumors continue to swirl regarding Selena Gomez and who her boyfriend may be, she has maintained her silence, as she’s known to do when speaking of her love life. Meanwhile, Krost has also not made any sort of comment about Selena Gomez or the status of their relationship.
