Selena Gomez Flirts With ‘Hot’ NHL Star Tom Wilson After Justin Bieber Date
The media thinks that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are trolling their fans. That’s because that the singer was spotted on a date with Justin Bieber prior to the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Then Selena was spotted on a dinner date with One Direction member Niall Horan. Now she’s been flirting online with NHL player Tom Wilson.
The 23-year-old singer was caught having a “flirtationship” with Washington Capitals player Tom Wilson, 21. Page Six claimed that the two have been following each other on Instagram and have been “liking” each other’s posts. Even some of Gomez’s fans noticed that the singer may have a crush on Wilson.
The two have been “introduced through Julianne Hough – who’s engaged to Caps center Brooks Laich,” according to the report. But there’s no relationship or “flirtationship” between these two since Wilson is “quietly dating a fit, 22-year-old Canadian volleyball star.” Brooks Laich set the record straight about Gomez and Wilson’s not-so flirty relationship on The Sports Junkiest on 106.7 The Fan.
“Let me clarify one thing. I have never met Selena and neither I, nor Julianne, have ever introduced them. So, to the person who first broke the story that we had, this is me calling you out. That is a completely fabricated rumor, and next time somebody goes to print something like that where they know it’s unverified or fabricated, I suggest they take a look in the mirror and say, ‘Can I do something more positive with my life?’
“The decisions they make actually affect people’s lives and this is something completely unfounded and 100 percent untrue. That’s when I have a problem with it — it affects people’s lives and it’s something that’s so not true, and for somebody to just put it out there at their own whim, I think that’s an intrusion into people’s personal lives and it’s unwelcomed and also disrespectful.”
He also went on to say that the rumors have gotten out of control and have been “blown way out of proportion.”
That hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from talking. Justin Bieber made the rumors circulate even more when he took to Instagram to share a number of photos of himself (ironically) watching and playing hockey, along with a throwback photo of himself and Gomez.
Then Justin told his fans to chill out by saying that it’s just a throwback photo. But it’s a little odd that the “Sorry” singer would share a photo of himself with Selena, of all people. That just gives fans hope that they’re back together or getting back together.
But according to the Hollywood Life, Selena Gomez is only flirting online with the “hot” athlete because Justin Bieber “can’t commit.” Gomez innocently went through the hockey player’s Instagram page and obviously liked what she saw. An inside source told the celebrity gossip blog that Selena’s flirting with other guys is her way of testing the waters with Bieber to see if he will commit.
According to the insider, Gomez hasn’t been committed to any other guys. The last guy she was linked to was DJ Zedd, who she split with back in April. Fans are still holding out hope that the two musicians will reunite once again. The insider then said that Gomez is protecting her heart, but is playing with Bieber’s heart to see if he would get back with her again.
“Justin’s been happy playing the field and has a host of other girlfriends he’s flirty with, so Selena thinks she should do the same.”
Selena Gomez has openly said in recent interview that she’s been dipping her toe in the dating field. She has even taken an interest in older men and revealed that she would date Zayn Malik. But unfortunately for Selena, her friend Gigi Hadid is dating the former 1D singer. Gigi revealed on Justin’s Instagram photo that she wouldn’t mind double dating with him and Selena. Well, that would make for one awkward double date!
