Is Louis Tomlinson Quitting One Direction For Charity Work?

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is unquestionably altruistic. As recently reported in Inquisitr, Louis hosted a major charity event in London to raise funds for sick kids. It was widely reported that Tomlinson donated an amazing $3 million of his own fortune to the charity. “Believe In Magic,” which raises money to help make dreams come true for seriously ill children. Louis enlisted the help of his One Direction bandmates Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne to ensure the event was a massive success. It is believed that Louis Tpomlinson’s involvement helped the charity to raise close to $8 million from the event.

As all One Direction fans know, Louis and the rest of the boys will be splitting up, at least temporarily, after they finish promoting their fifth album. The new album, titled Made In The A.M. is scheduled to drop on November 13, and once the promotion is complete, Louis and the rest of the band will go their separate ways for an undetermined period of time.

There has been a huge amount of speculation as to what each members of One Direction will do during the split. It is probably fair to say that Tomlinson’s immediate future is perhaps the most clear. Tomlinson will be the first member of One Direction to become a father. Louis Tomlinson is expecting a baby with Briana Jungwirth, an L.A. based stylist he had a brief relationship with earlier this year. Louis has been tight-lipped about whether he and Briana will reunite as a couple but Tomlinson has revealed that he wants to be closely involved with raising his child.

This weekend sees Louis team up with his old mentor Simon Cowell on the UK version of X-Factor. The show has been struggling in the ratings and Cowell has called Louis in to try to boost viewing figures as the show moves to the “judges houses” stage. It is widely believed that Tomlinson will be a full-time judge on next year’s show.

According to the Daily Mail, X-Factor is not the only project Tomlinson is cooking up with Simon Cowell. Apparently Louis and Simon are aiming to put together a girl-band for Tomlinson’s recently registered record label.

“I’ve got a little label imprint so I’m trying to work with that at the moment. I’m lucky enough to be working with Simon. We’ve got a few different projects going on at the moment one of which is we’re trying to put a girl band together.”

“It’s really exciting to be involved in the different side of it, the background.”

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Louis is keen to step out of the lime-light and sees charity work as the ideal way to do so. Although Louis Tomlinson will likely take some time off to spend quality time with his friends, family and new baby, Tomlinson is also very keen to help others.

“Being my age and being able to be in a position where I can help people out and give opportunities to other people is the most exciting thing to me.”

According to Noise 11, Louis has told Entertainment Weekly that he will spend some time during One Direction’s break writing songs with Liam Payne; but, it seems to be the opportunity to help others through charity work that most excites Tomlinson.

All of the One Direction boys do a tremendous amount for charity behind the scenes but Louis Tomlinson, in particular, has shown that he is incredibly passionate about children’s charities. Tomlinson has also shown that he is amazingly generous with both his time and money in the way he supports charities.

Tomlinson would be a wonderful figurehead for any charity and has a proven track record when it comes to raising funds. With his background and celebrity contacts Louis would be an incredible fund raiser.

Do you think that Louis Tomlinson could be tempted away from One Direction to work full-time for charities?
