Louis Tomlinson: Dad To Be Donates $3 Million To Children’s Charity
Louis Tomlinson and his One Direction band-mates are known for their altruistic nature and for their support for a range of charitable causes. Louis and his mates recently launched #Action1D to encourage fans to nominate causes dear to them and to put pressure on world leaders to end childhood poverty and tackle issues like global warming. Tomlinson has flown back to the UK from the latest leg of One Direction’s world tour, and last night Louis hosted a huge charity event in London.
The Daily Mail reports that Louis was accompanied to the glittering event by his mom, Johannah Deakin, and band-mate Liam Payne. Harry Styles had a previous engagement, and Niall Horan is reportedly still in the U.S. but that didn’t stop the boys from helping out the event. Louis and his pals all donated items for a charity auction in support of a children’s charity Believe In Magic.
The charity raises funds to help to make a dream come true for children with a terminal illness, and last night’s event was attended by lots of children who were given the chance to be a little prince or princess for the evening at the Cinderella-themed event. According to the Mirror, Louis and his pals were determined to ensure that the event was a success. It is reported that Louis personally donated a staggeringly generous £2 million ($3 million). Tomlinson also forked out for toys and presents for every single guest at the event.
Liam Payne got in on the act by splashing out a cool £50,000 ($75,000) to have his face painted as a tiger. Whilst the incredible generosity of Louis and Liam will be appreciated by the charity it is perhaps the little things that will live on in the memories of both the children and parents who attended the event. According to Yahoo! Celebrity one grateful grown up summed up the feeling of many when they said “I wanted to thank Louis for dancing with my daughter, because she’ll never arrive at her own wedding.”
Throughout the evening both Louis and Liam spent lots of time with the sick kids and their families simply chatting and having selfies taken.

According to guests at the event Louis and Liam spent some time with every single child at the event. Tomlinson greeted every family as they walked down a grand staircase and made every child feel like royalty for the night.
During his speech thanking everyone for attending Louis reportedly said “you’re all my princesses and prince charmings, tonight and always.”
