Paul Jackson: Fugitive In Sex Slave Case Captured After 24 Years On The Run

Paul Jackson managed to evade capture for nearly 25 years. However, a recent episode of The Hunt With John Walsh sparked a tip that led authorities directly to the fugitive’s location at a Guadalajara hotel. Jackson is a primary suspect in the kidnapping, rape, and torture of two young women.

In 1988, brothers Paul Jackson and Vance Roberts payed a 20-year-old prostitute, named Michaelle Dierich, for an evening of fun. However, when the young woman got into Roberts’s vehicle, she was restrained and forcibly raped.

Dierich was then blindfolded and transported to an unknown location outside Portland, Oregon, where she was locked inside a closet.

As reported by Oregon Live, Michaelle Dierich was held captive for approximately seven days. During that time, she was repeatedly raped and humiliated by the two men.

“Her captors fed her small bowls of cereal. They dressed her in diapers and from time to time passed her a tray filled with kitty litter… they kept her chained and shackled… shocked her with a stun gun, raped, sodomized and drugged her with chloroform.”

Dierich said she feared for her life. However, she was eventually transported back to Portland — where she was released back onto the street. The 20-year-old woman immediately reported to a local hospital for treatment.

Although her physical condition confirmed her version of events, Michaelle Dierich was unable to identify Paul Jackson and Vance Roberts or the location of their home.

Nearly two years later, 17-year-old Andrea Hood was abducted by the same two men. As reported by CNN, the teen was held captive inside a residential home, where she was raped and tortured for two days.

Like Dierich, Hood also feared for her life. However, she managed to escape when her captors left her in the house alone.

Hood said she freed her arms and legs from her restraints, broke through a window, and ran to a neighbor for help. According to reports, the teen was barely clothed and covered in blood.

Authorities obtained a warrant and executed a search at the Northeast Olympic Street home where Hood was held captive. The inside of the brothers’ home was described as “a modern-day dungeon.”

According to reports, authorities recovered numerous Poloroid photos of “women naked and chained up.” It is unclear whether Paul Jackson and Vance Roberts took the photos themselves, or received them from another source.

Jackson and Roberts were subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping and rape. However, both men vanished after posting bond.

Fifteen years later, Vance Roberts turned himself in to authorities and was subsequently tried for the kidnapping and rape of both women.

In June, 2007, he was convicted on 24 counts, including kidnapping, rape, sexual abuse, sodomy, and “sexual penetration with a foreign object.” He was later sentenced to 108 years in prison.

Although Roberts turned himself in, and was tried and sentenced for the crimes, Paul Jackson’s whereabouts remained unknown.

The bizarre details of the kidnappings were recently featured on an episode of The Hunt With John Walsh, in an attempt to gain information about the fugitive’s whereabouts.

On Monday, the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force confirmed Paul Jackson, who was living under an assumed name, was arrested and detained in Guadalajara. As reported by NBC News, the suspect will be extradited to the United States in the coming weeks.

Authorities believe Paul Jackson “has been living in Mexico for several years.”
