‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Kay Robertson And Son Alan Opening New Bakery, Sweet Treats Straight From The Heart

It looks like a couple of Duck Dynasty stars will be sticking their fingers in the cookie jar, and will be sharing it with others, as well. According to the News Star, Kay Robertson, fondly known as Miss Kay, is opening up her own bakery shop with some help from her oldest son, Alan Robertson. It will certainly be a sweet surprise for fans of the show to walk right in and grab one of her special treats.

The new shop will be set up in West Monroe, Louisiana, right next to Willie Robertson’s Duck Diner that has been seen on the famous reality show. The bakery will be called Miss Kay’s Sweets and Eats, and it sounds heavenly. There will be desserts such as chocolate and coconut cream pies, and different kinds of puddings, which Miss Kay is so famous for.

Another well-known treat that will be available are Phil Robertson’s famous pralines. You can bet that those will go over quite well. All of these things sound yummy, and with the Duck Dynasty label and Miss Kay’s special touch, it is sure to be a big hit, especially for those who love the show. Expect to see some of the beginning ideas that lead up to Miss Kay’s bakery, as it will be shown on the upcoming season of Duck Dynasty this fall.

They are keeping it pretty much a family business as Alan’s daughter, Alex, is slated to become the head baker. She is conveniently a pastry chef, so it is a perfect fit for them. They will also be getting a few other chefs on board to help them make this new business a great success. Alan explained the reasoning behind this venture.

“Mom always wanted her own place, and we’re excited about being able to share her amazing recipes with our community and the rest of the world. This is perfect because it’s adjacent to Willie’s restaurant. We may even connect the two buildings.”

Fans will be so happy that Miss Kay has chosen to share her yummy creations with everyone. She is always in the kitchen with her apron on, as seen on the A&E show, and that is where she seems to be most comfortable. She loves to cook and bake, so this is right up her alley. In fact, Kay says that this shop has been a dream of hers for a long time now.

She has tested everything to make sure the final product is perfect for customers. Miss Kay will not be on hand every single day as the operations will be left to others, but she is planning on being available for baking demonstrations. She has been known to get her daughters-in-law in her kitchen to teach them how to cook, so this job is right up her alley.

“I’m so excited about that. I’ve always wanted the opportunity to teach people how to cook.”

A few of the Robertson family members have also dabbled in their own businesses. Granddaughter Sadie Robertson just recently walked the runway, modeling some of Sherri Hill’s creations, as reported by Us Magazine. Sadie has her own line of prom dresses with this company, and they are adorable designs for young girls.

The Duck Dynasty stars are shooting for a December opening. However, they will be offering an online shop, maybe even before the actual shop opens, where you can purchase her treats and have them shipped to you. That would certainly make a great gift for Christmas.
