‘General Hospital’ Tidbits: Luke Faces His Past, Looks To His Future [Spoilers]
Thursday’s episode of General Hospital is going to have some very dramatic moments, from the sounds of things. As viewers know, Anthony Geary is wrapping up his decades-long run as Luke Spencer, and this episode will be key to his farewell. What General Hospital spoilers are available for the July 23 show?
As Celeb Dirty Laundry teases, there is drama with Luke, but there are key moments ahead for others in Port Charles, as well. Lulu knows that Dante and Valerie shared a kiss, but the guilt that he’s carrying knowing that things went further than that is weighing heavily on him. General Hospital spoilers tease that Dante will confess to Nathan about sleeping with Valerie, a talk that surely will put Nathan in a difficult position with Maxie.
Lulu and Maxie will also talk in Thursday’s episode, with Lulu taking the blame for what drove Dante to Valerie. Maxie supports Lulu, and most would imagine that this situation will get even more complicated in the episodes to come.
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Valerie will be on edge when Bobbie mentions needing to talk. However, it seems that this conversation ultimately isn’t a big deal, in that it’s not related to Dante and Lulu. Valerie isn’t off the hook in this situation, though, and teasers reveal that the stress and guilt will soon impact her work, as well.
As for Luke, viewers have already seen that he’s visiting his childhood home in this episode. He talks about how he’ll be gone when the house is gone, and he has a gun with him, worrying some that he could be considering taking his own life. Luckily, Anthony Geary has talked about his exit from the show, and his final scene is not at his childhood home.
She Knows Soaps details that while Luke is at the house, he will be visited with three spirits from his past. From the sounds of things, those spirits will be Luke’s mom, Lena Eckert Spencer, dad, Tim Spencer, and sister, Patricia Spencer. Interestingly, it is said that Geary will play his dad and Laura Wright, who plays Carly, plays his mom. Dee Wallace is said to be back in the role of Patricia.
After connecting with these three key figures from his past, Luke will find himself in a better psychological place. It seems this will pave the way for him to look toward the future, even though it will be without Tracy, and he prepares to leave town.
What else can viewers expect from Thursday’s show? General Hospital spoilers detail that Michael and Sabrina will share some fun moments at the boathouse, but there are difficult discussions ahead for Brad and Lucas. Will Brad open up about why he’s canceled his wedding?
Anthony Geary has admitted that he’s not entirely happy with the storyline that’s paved the way to his exit, and it’ll be interesting to see what viewers ultimately think. That final scene is right around the corner, and fans won’t want to miss a minute of how it all plays out over the next few episodes of General Hospital.
