Liam Hemsworth might be dating Maika Monroe. The Independence Day: Resurgence co-stars were spotted getting cozy and then vainly trying to look distant with each other on multiple occasions.

Hemsworth might have finally moved on from Miley Cyrus, whom he met on the set of The Last Song. Now he seems to have found the spark once again in Maika Monroe, his co-star, reported US Weekly. The Australian hunk and the 22-year-old professional kite-surfer-turned-actress appeared to throw caution to the wind as they strolled hand-in-hand during the July Fourth weekend.

Incidentally, the senior star, Jeff Goldblum was quite busy attending the birth of his firstborn, and that must have accorded a lot of free time to the duo to get comfortable in each other’s presence. According to a source, the fireworks between the two were quite obvious at Independence Day director Roland Emmerich’s party. The source even added that Hemsworth and Monroe could hardly keep their hands off each other as they cuddled and were spotted “making out at the bar”,

Hemsworth and Monroe play love interests in Independence Day: Resurgence, but it is apparent that Hemsworth doesn’t intend to make the relationship official in real life. However, the pair has been spending a lot of time together on and off the set. They were even spotted getting snacks and drinks together in Malibu. While in public, the pair ensures they maintain some distance and walk casually, but the chemistry is quite apparent, shared the source.

It appears Liam Hemsworth has a penchant for his female co-stars. This is precisely how he started dating Miley Cyrus onset of the Nicholas Sparks movie The Last Song. Their on-screen attraction soon translated into off-screen rendezvous and dating. Surprisingly, Hemsworth is quite a romantic guy who even proposed to Miley after dating her for three years. Despite the tumultuous on-again off-again relationship, the actor thought of getting hitched and the duo got engaged, only to call an audible several months later.

Given his proximity to Monroe, it is highly unlikely Hemsworth will reunite with Miley in the future. Interestingly, Hemsworth and Miley claim to maintain a cordial platonic friendship after the “time-out”.
