Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza Makes British Debut

hot dog stuffed crust

Pizza crust has been stuffed with cheese. It has been made out of pieces of garlic bread. And now Pizza Hut is taking things one unhealthy step further with its Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza.

The new crust, which was undoubtedly invented at a state fair, made it’s debut this week in the United Kingdom. Pizza Hut writes on its website:

“Succulent hot dog sausage bursting from our famous stuffed crust, with a FREE Mustard Drizzle.”

A Hot Dog Stuffed Crust may seem like a crazy idea but judging by the picture, it looks a lot like a giant circular ring of bagel dogs. Unfortunately, those residing in America won’t be able to taste it for themselves since Pizza Hut has no plans, as of now, to bring the hot dog pizza to the States.

What do you think? Does the Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza sound delicious or disgusting?

Apparently Pizza Hut has been experimenting with the hot dog pizza for years in Korea. Here’s a commercial for an early version of the Hot Dog Crust Pizza.

One time Pizza Hut accidently backed my receipt into the crust. This is way better.

While vacationing in Ireland we once stopped in a little restaurant and ordered a pizza for takeout. It turned out their "pepperoni" was slices of hot dog on top. When in Switzerland one time the kids again ordered pepperoni pizza (in a ritzy restaurant even). When the pizza arrived they could not find the pepperoni. We figured it was all hiding beneath the essence of cheese. After digging around a bit and finding none we asked the waiter. He showed it to us — green pepperoncini. In the future when in Europe, we ask. That also brings me to the pizza we ordered in France on the Paris outskirts on the way to Giverny. We were presented with a microwave scut offering. My son and I just laughed and pitched it. Sounds like we've vacationed too much in Europe and tested too many pizzas. Torino Italy had superb pizza as did most of Paris.
