Minister Mom Has Hilarious Re-Enactment Of Daughter ‘Coming Out Of The Closet’ [Video]

Coming out isn’t something all homosexuals are comfortable with due to uncertainty when it comes to family acceptance. Although some people are blessed to have supportive family members, unfortunately that isn’t the case for everyone.

Some have been condemned and disowned, while others have even attempted suicide due to lack of acceptance. But, fortunately for U.S. soldier Bri Johnson, her minister mom has been very supportive. In fact, when Bri decided to “come out of the closet,” her mom didn’t seem too surprised. Now, her hilariously dramatic response has gone viral.

On Mother’s Day, Bri posted a Tumblr video of her mom’s reaction after she revealed she was homosexual. Apparently, it was something her mom was already aware of because she stated that she’d just waiting for the announcement. Then, she went on to give a comical visual explaining how Bri looked while hiding!

Here’s an excerpt of the dialogue from the comical re-enactment:

“Is that the announcement?’ her mom asks in the video, “because for us it was like [opens closet door], are you coming out? Not yet? Alright [closes door].

She goes on, “Every now and then it’s like [knocks on closet door], are you ready? Oh, okay, well let us know when you come out okay?”

It definitely didn’t take long for the minister mom’s infectious dry humor to captivate viewers. Now, the video has more than 80,000 shares on Tumblr and more than 600,000 views on YouTube as it continues to circulate via social media.

Since the video has received such an overwhelmingly positive response, Bri’s mother decided to share a message of her own. On May 18, Bri posted another quote from her mother. The hilarious minister mom took a surreal approach with a powerful message to those with unsupportive family members. One of Bri’s posts explains her mother’s perspective in four words: ” Religion shouldn’t involve hate.”

“This is Ma. If your family has forsaken you, I’m sorry. I serve a God greater than any circumstances. He won’t leave you even if they do. The choice is yours. Live a beautiful life your way. Chosen are few. You have nothing to be ashamed of babies. I love y’all too. ~Momz”
