Mama June Pole Dancing After Weight Loss: Honey Boo Boo’s Mom Shakes Money-Maker
Is Mama June Shannon getting into the pole-dancing business? That’s what many thought when she arrived at the Crazy Horse Gentleman’s Club in Pompano Beach, Florida on Saturday.
June, 35, arrived at the famed strip club to shake what her mama gave her like the next girl. And according to the Mirror, the television personality earned a cool $5,500 for taking to the pole and dancing like it was 1999.
Mama June stepped in the club like a boss. She donned paisley pants, a black top, and a crochet-style fringed sweater. The music was blaring and the Horse’s exotic dancers showed her much love. And what June did next was, well, not all that surprising to many who follow the popular bubbly ex-reality TV star.

June joined other pole-dancing hot mamas as they gyrated to music in barely-there attire. The guest of honor dropped it like it was hot and got down with the best of them. But if you think she did a striptease, forget about it; Mama June kept it ladylike and didn’t shed any of her clothing. But she did get a mess of lap dances from the girls, and if a picture tells a story, June appeared to be having a good time.
Well, that shouldn’t come as any surprise. Just recently, Shannon and her daughter, Pumpkin, real name Lauryn Thompson, came out as bisexual. The 15-year-old told an Inside Edition host that she’s attracted to men and women. “You can’t hide who you are,” she said. And then she exposed her mom as bi. Of course, her doting mother didn’t disappoint.
“It’s no big deal, I was young and experimented with it. I’m not going to lie, I played in the minors but never went pro. It’s open season. I will keep ALL my options open.”
Mama June’s pole-dancing gig was part of what the Broward County club does from time to time. Crazy Horse spokesperson Tonia Ryan said staff did not require Shannon to strip down and get her raunchy on, “but you never know with her. Mama June is fun and funny. She’s there to meet and greet people, take photos, sign autographs.”

The venue caters to married couples and often retains celebrities, not porn stars, for a fee, to draw in the crowds. In March, Teen Mom and Backdoor star, Farrah Abraham, was booked there.
All told, the pole-dancing routine from Mama June paid off. Not only did she earn an upfront fee for a couple hours; the club made it rain. Word is, the tips were pretty darn good.
